Good range of model-making for the enthusiast. Not a toy shop for kids. You have to be 'admitted' at the door, no just walking in. Fantastic range of model planes, trains and automobiles. Nerd paradise, others, not so much.

Bought a plastic model car kit from them that is unavailable in the U.S. My order was processed almost immediately and was shipped almost as quickly. Tracking info from Australia Post was great, and the USPS managed to get it to my door in California not long after the handoff. Definitely would buy from Hearns again. Already have my eye on something else. Thank you!

A true Melbourne institution, established in 1947 and still going strong, my dad was a customer in the early 50s, I've been an on again, off again customer since I was a kid in the 70s, and my son's have been customers since the early 2000s. Love everything about this shop.....

I was assisted by Steve, a consummate professional who knows his stuff yet didn’t judge me for not knowing anything. Calm, helpful, kind, resourceful and funny, I’ll be visiting many times over due to such a great experience. I absolutely loved hearing that Hearns Hobbies is the second oldest shop in Melbourne, in the original location, that’s almost unheard of, I love it! Anything you can imagine in the way of hobbies, Steve is your man, and if Steve isn’t there, his wing people sure will be. I’m delighted with the experience.
