Hertz Car Rental - Proserpine Airport

So I had an emergency of a lost bag and was able to get in touch with the agent at this location. And a simple ask of checking to see if they could see if the bag was near them was too much I was told I can't be bothered to walk the 20 meters to see if your bag is there." Thankfully the bag was found but that employee sealed the deal with me never booking with hertz again."

I'm really disappointed that staff are negligent and not trained properly in installing baby car seats. Our forward facing car seat was missing a very vital clip (and staff apparently have no idea this clip even exists). This clip goes on the seatbelt and secures the car seat in the car properly. I tell you now.. That by fastening the strap in the boot and putting the seat belt through the back of the car seat and buckling it up. IS NOT SAFE, AND DOES NOT STOP THE CAR SEAT FROM MOVING AROUND. In the event of an accident my child would be flung around in her car seat like a Rag doll.This is the 3rd rental car company I have had issues with regarding car seats that can not be installed properly. It's very disappointing, that the lives of children are not being taken seriously.And my next issue. I booked the rental car and car seat via a phone call. Because I couldn't access the add a car seat option on your website. Apon arriving to Collect our rental we were told the car seat is not installed yet, because the lady didn't know we needed one. We then had to wait 25mins for other people to be served before the lady could leave the desk to then poorly install our car seat...

Annoying to ask for a couple of extra hours so as not to have to wait so long with kids at airport for departure, get no clear advice, no flexibility, only 'policy this, policy that'. Paid full rates and insurances, car park full upon return. Great car, fun times, shame to not be recognized as human.

We just came back from Airlie beach. We spent 2 weeks travelling around this beautiful area. Obviously we hired a car. I left it at the last minute thinking there'll be no trouble to get one. Unfortunately at my big surprise most car renters where either closed or booked out. I spoke to the manager in the office in Proserpine and explained our situation. She was very kind and understanding. Lucky enough a few minutes later she rang me back to tell me she find a vehicle for us. Next day we arrived at the airport the lady was also very nice and well organised. So thank you so much to all the team there in Proserpine/Airlie Beach office.

Staff were awesome

Waited in line for hours to pick up a car. Not sure what the attendant was doing or why they were taking so long, but it was just ridiculous how long they were taking per person. Missed a booked lunch because of it. Unacceptable.

David and Emma helped us out by loaning us two child seats when Avis stuffed up our booking. Bloody legends, I'll book with them on my next trip for sure.

Found myself stranded at Whitsundays airport in the dark with my frail 76 year old mother after our pre-booked taxi didn’t turn up. The amazing folks at Hertz were so helpful, generous, understanding and efficient. I had my mum tucked into a fabulous rental car in about 10 minutes. The owner took the time to make sure I was comfortable with the car, and when I needed to extend the booking the following day they were equally helpful and accommodating on the phone. Genuinely one of the best rental car experiences I have had.

We were arriving late to Proserpine airport due to an accident on the Bruce highway & we called Hertz to let them know & Debbie (I think that was her name) calmed us & gave us some advice about arriving late & trying to make our flight. Thanks Debbie!

Worst customer service experience I have ever had with any car rental company in any country. Do not recommend
