Safe Place Therapy, Counselling Footscray

I have been seeing Defah for a few months now and this is my first experience with therapy. Defah makes you feel comfortable and relaxed, Defah has helped me so much than words can say! She has given me new perspectives and broadened my mind with every situation we have come across. I will forever be grateful for the time we have spent together!

Safe place Therapy is a lovely space, the counselling rooms are well decorated and bring a sense of calm. I’ve been seeing Sophie Manente for several months now and from our very first session have felt comfortable, supported and understood. After having previous bad luck finding the right therapist for me I am so glad to have finally met Sophie. I feel a sense of ease speaking with her and find she provides an insightful perspective on my experiences. Highly recommend for any Queer folks out there who want to see someone that’ll understand their experiences.

I can't recommend this place enough. I've had sessions with both Enda and Stuart and they've both been amazing at providing progressive, healthy and empathetic assistance. This has been true for both solo sessions as well as couples sessions.They'll be my first choice for therapy for years to come.

I have been attending sessions at this clinic for several months and I have had nothing but positive and constructive sessions and experiences. I cannot recommend seeing Stuart Cheverton enough. He has given me excellent strategies to create management plans for my health, and he has done so with impeccable professionalism and compassion.Highly recommend!

We have been seeing Sophie for a couple of years now and she has been amazing with my children and myself. The sessions with Sophie were so helpful to overcome so many obstacles in our lives that I also recommended my family to see her. Amazing therapist. Listens, understands and allows you to work through things at your own pace. Highly recommended.

I've found Safe Place to provide fantastic experience. I've struggled in the past to find a therapist that I can click with, and this has lead to me neglecting my mental health needs more than I should have. However, at Safe Place I've felt like I've made a lot of progress. Stuart has been an amazing help, especially through the ongoing lockdown, and I think this is a testament to the commitment and ethic displayed by this clinic.Thank you very much for your ongoing support, it has been a tremendous help, and I would highly recommend Safe Place as absolutely living up to it's name in providing a safe therapeutic environment.

I have seen 5 different therapists in 4 different practices and Safe Place has made me feel the most comfortable! Walking in and being able to head to kitchen to make a tea and have a snack really helps put my mind in the right space.I have been seeing Adam for nearly a year now I think and I genuinely look forward to heading in as I know it's an environment where I can discuss anything on my mind. I'm already outspoken for everyone going to therapy and this place only proves that.Also walking in to a pride flag makes me feel just comfortable. (There is also an Indigenous flag!)

Really good, very understanding

I have always found opening up and being vulnerable in therapy a bit of a struggle. Sophie has provided a safe, supportive environment for me to be honest and find genuine help with my mental health. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
