Southern Cross Martal Arts

Many years ago when I was 16, I joined Damien's martial art school. I was shy, no idea where I was in the world, not very strong at all both physically and mentally. I'd been bullied at school to the point that I was ready to leave. It was martial arts that changed my mind set completely. Damien's dedication and enthusiasm to his love of martial arts inspired me to do things that I'd never done before (or thought that I could do). I gained a belief in myself that enabled me to do things in life I am sure I wouldn't have done. At the age of 17 I was teaching 30 year olds the basics that I'd been taught a year ago, I was able to shrug off bullies and gained confidence that helped me onto a tertiary degree. I'm now 48 and Damien is still teaching young people the values that martial arts brings, humility, self belief, honour, respect.

You will not find a more dedicated and experienced instructor team. If you have a child who needs mentoring for any reason at all. Get in here.

The head instructor Damien Martin is in a class of his own, and has an extremely wide and deep set of skills in martial arts, self defence, student development and teaching skills.
