Port Stephens Kangaroo Encounters
A perfect way to encounter freely roaming kangaroos not behind enclosures. The tour only costs 20$ and you get to drive around on a golf cart while learning about the native animals. The guides from the kangaroo research team are very friendly and highly knowledgable.A must-do while in Port Stephens!

This has been one of the highlights of our trip at Nelson Bay with my siblings. My 1 year old nephew was the happiest after seeing alot of kangaroos freely hopping! Our tour guide was super friendly and we learned alot of interesting and fun facts from him. The tour itself was an unforgettable experience and would highly recommend to anyone. Definitely a must see!

Amazing family friendly tour hosted by volunteers at Nelson bay golf club.If you visit Port Stephens this is epic tour you must do! Beautiful golf club and we explored to kangaroo adventures. Call before you visit and secure your spot!Will definitely visit again next time!!!

Amazing short and sweet tour. Our guide was Max, an old man with such a zeal and passion to show kangaroo's. He was super cool and damn friendly. Very informative tour which happens on a golf van. The money spent here is going for a good cause of saving Kangaroo's being hit by golf ball. I would highly recommend it! The kangaroo's were very gentle and cute.

The kangaroo tour with Phil was an amazing experience. Phil gave us a lot of detailed information about the kangaroos and we really felt that he loves the kangaroos and the tour. He was an amazing guide and the golf course just was the perfect environment to see the kangaroos during sunset.I honestly don't understand the bad reviews, I think they all didn't get that they actually have to book the tour in advance to see the kangaroos (the money goes into research by the way).Can definitely recommend!
