I have been skiing a long time, including taking a year off to ski bum many years ago, so I thought that I was as good of a skier as I was ever going to be. I also thought that the way to get better was to ski hard runs over and over. Wrong on both counts! By skiing easier runs, but focusing on specific drills, I’m finally able to carve my turns. My balance is better, my confidence is way up, and when I look at pictures of myself, my form looks a lot better in photos. What I like about the BPS approach is that it’s very positive - instead of focusing on what I’m doing wrong, I just get shown how to do it right. Skiing is more fun for me now than ever, and I enjoy skiing easier runs again because they give me the chance to work on things. Can’t wait for next season to start!

I have been a member of Big Picture skiing for a couple of years now. At first I was looking for some tips to improve my mogul skiing. I found some excellent videos that helped. However, I found so much more and really saw my skiing improve when I delved deeper into some of Tom's very basic instructional videos on body movement and alignment. I would recommend start there. Tom's video's are excellent. I use many of his drills on a regular basis. If you want to understand the fundamentals well and learn how to practice with good drills and exercises then Big Picture is the site for you. I passed my CSIA Level 1 this year easily and thanks goes to Tom and his instruction. He really helped me become a better and more consistent skier. And I can ski moguls much better as well!!

I had the pleasure of first meeting Tom around 10 years ago and I have been a keen follower of his since then. I have tried to participate in as many courses that he runs both online and in person and always felt I got good value for my money. I started watching his video series several years go and they have improved my understanding of skiing. The last two years I have been in The Big Picture Academy and Toms feedback on my submitted videos is priceless. The academy of great for all skiers from intermediate to Instructor Level. The knowledge from your own feedback as well as watching other peoples feedback is tremendous. If I don’t understand I never feel stupid (we’ll just a little) to ask Tom to explain in a different way. I would highly recommend any of Tom’s programs.

As a avid skier who has been striving for years to be a better skier, I have voraciously sought out coaching tips from every expert, app and corner of the internet.Those days of searching came to an end once I discovered Big Picture Skiing. There are videos, cue cards and tips covering every single aspect of skiing on that site - I don’t need to look anywhere else.Tom’s expert advice covers all the areas I want to improve on. He demonstrates the skills to work on, brilliantly communicates how the body and skis should work together to master the forces in play at every point in the turn, and most importantly explains how that should feel when done right. Tom provides useful exercises and drills to build the skills both on the snow and on dry land.He is also very responsive to queries raised by his clients and addresses their questions with clarity and understanding. In addition, he builds on the feedback from clients to produce additional content addressing areas where clients might be having difficulty in breaking through to the next level of skiing.My skiing and understanding has improved dramatically and that’s all thanks to Tom and Big Picture Skiing.

Big Picture Skiing came into my life late March of 2023. I've been skiing since I was 10 years old and will turn 70 later this year. A few years ago I bought some shaped parabolic skis and skied on them like I normally did on straight Normal" skis. It was quite different and made me feel like "a dinosaur on shaped skis." I took a couple bad falls and separated my shoulder and collar bone which ended my skiing for the 2022-23 season.I went on line and after looking at tons of websites and and videos I came across ones by Tom Gellie founder of Big Picture Skiing. The amount of video material there of him teaching and the drills he shares with people was way better than anything I saw online or experienced in my skiing experience. I now know that skiing mostly on hard pack New England and Midwestern snow I was putting my weight way to far forward allowing the tails of my skis to slip out instead of staying more evenly weighted to make use of the tails.Also

I have really enjoyed the videos online and podcasts. The videos have been extremely helpful in my skiing with all the good drills which I like to practice all the time. Particularly swords which I do 4 - 5 runs of. Tom has been a wealth of information with his knowledge and expertise. I look forward to continuing with BPS and more great training videos. Thank you.

Skiing most of my life (but only a couple times a year), when I turned 50 I decided I wanted to really learn how to ski". I was listening to one of my favorite podcasts (RHR) and the podcaster mentioned Big Picture Skiing. I quickly subscribed to BPS and filled out the questionaire for both body prep and the academy. The first thing I noticed once enrolled in the program was how authentic and genuine both Sam and Tom are and how much they want you to improve. They are both very patient and encouraging as you progress from a newbie to a competent skier. After two seasons with BPS my skiing has completely transformed and just last week when I was skiing with my buddies on our annual guys ski trip

Tom's BPS program is hand down the best if you want to improve your skiing. He's incredible at breaking the biomechanics down and has curated equally excellent resources to complement his personalized guidance to help develop anyones skiing in the most effective way possible. Tom helped me get my Level 3 certification last year and look forward to working with him over the next few years on my 4. Thank you Tom & BPS!

i am 59 and have always struggle to ski better and feel good in my boots ; i have decided to move to the next step and take my destiny in handsBPS is really awesome and different form others as it's all about enhance your skiing and also stuff as ski bootsTom is focusing on sensations and show you in details breakdown of movements , biomechanics and drillsit is the first time i understand the WHY ? and not only hearing form instructors , bend your knees"there is a ton of information when you join BPS as a member and also summer prep to be ready for the season ; i can only recommend for those who wants to improve their skiing"

I have been coached by Tom on and off snow with superb results. The Big Picture Skiing resources allow me to continue my learning at my own pace. My skiing skills and technical knowledge are beyond my wildest expectations from several years ago. And of course, the sport has become even more fun as a result!
