Tresillian Family Care Centre - Belmore

Tresillian works within a very strict framework where you have to abide to their strict rules. This is likely due to insurance and legal reasons. As a result, their methods are very generic and not very personalised. Also because of the strict framework, their methods can contradict the advice of your pediatrician and/or GP. This framework will not work for everybody. In my case it does not work for my child and has made the crying worst. Nevertheless the people there are very friendly and they do genuinely want to help. But their hands are ties due to the strict framework and/or organisational policies.

My 8 week old baby boy was just not getting enough sleep as he was too unsettled. Went to Tresillian in Belmore and on the first day my husband and I could already see the difference as my baby slept for 3 hours for his first nap there. Everyone was really lovely but special mention goes to Suzie, Leesa and Ming. Thank you very much for showing us different techniques on how to settle our baby and for always checking on us.Needless to say that we went home very happy and were able to continue to use what we learnt at home with great success. Our baby is now very settled and sleeps well.

Since the pandemic it has been a godsend to be able to self refer. Myself and my 8.5 month old bub did a residential stay for 4 nights, to get some support on her sleep / settling in the cot and also refining our routine.Our experience has been so rewarding, getting practical advice with balance of hands on and allowing myself and partner do the work of settling routine ourselves. If you are apprehensive of going in don’t be! It’s really nice knowing what you think is an issue is actually not unique to you. I also like that there are GP/ Paediatric consults on site and counsellors if you need it.Within the first night we had her settling in her cot with protest of course but each day got a bit easier, with at least one rough night. It can’t be perfect everyday but having the tools and practical knowledge / support has helped a lot.We’ve walked out knowing we can build good foundations and we will have to do the rest of the work at home and stay consistent . Great Center and great staff with great experience and knowledge to share.

Tresillian is an incredible resource for new parents. The staff are knowledgeable, compassionate and supportive, providing invaluable guidance during the early years of a child's life.They helped my wife and I with a wide range of services, from helping with breastfeeding and settling baby to dealing with post-natal depression and nutrition.One of their greatest strengths is their expertise in sleep training which helps parents and babies get the rest they need.Tresillian is a not-for-profit organization, which makes their commitment to helping families all the more impressive.Overall, Tresillian is a fantastic resource for new parents and we cannot recommend them highly enough!

Tresillian is an incredible service for new mums and parents. We had so much trouble settling our baby and getting her to sleep in her cot until we went to Tresillian Canterbury. The staff were incredibly supportive, warm and affirming, offering individualised care based on our needs. Not only did our baby start sleeping better from the first day, my confidence grew as we saw incredible results in only 4 nights.Thank you to the lovely staff especially Sunny, Kim and Katherine who really made our experience a positive one!

I wholeheartedly recommend this place to any new mother seeking assistance in soothing her baby to sleep. I'm forever grateful to the nurses who offer me guidance and support during my 4 night stay here. Their care and encouragement have truly made a significant impact on my journey as a mother. My confidence as a mum have definitely grow exponentially after discharge.

Where do I begin! What a clean and amazing centre designed to help parents who are struggling with sleep. All of my concerns with my child were addressed and I received the most care met with compassion and support. Special thanks to Amanda and Jane for all their help this week. Phenomenal service run by exceptional staff. Not only are they kind, patient & supportive but their techniques really do work. Our three month old baby made great progress during our stay & no longer needs to be fed to sleep or walked hours each day in the baby carrier.
