Great place to stay & break up a long road trip. Staff are friendly & extremely helpful. I, took, the low-cost option in accommodation, and it was comfortable, though rustic, which was a step up from cattle station living. Definitely returning for more away from home care.

New managers had only arrived the day before we ourselves arrived to spend the night in our caravan. Such down to earth friendly people who shared some local history while sitting on the front verandah feeding Barry the Brolga. This is a typical true Aussie pub. Super cold drinks, heaps of delicious food and lovely hot showers. Will always stop here if up this way again.Just a hint for passing through travellers, if you don't want to see frogs in your toilet, then please ALWAYS close the toilet lid. This applies to the men as well.

Rooms are basic and a little rustic but are very clean and have everything you need. Staff are very welcoming. I'd definitely stay here again.

Camped here on grass, unpowered in a tent behind the pub for $15. Toilets and showers were good. Pub seems cosy, but did not have a drink. Lovely spot.

In my opinion this old hotel has more character than the Crocodile Dundee one in McKinlay. Stayed in the caravan park behind the hotel. Good for a stopover.

This is a must stop at pub. Camping available and has great character. Wish we had of stayed there instead of travelling to walk about pub

Under new management and they couldn't have done enough to make us feel welcome. Cold drinks, great hospitality and the best lunch feed I've had in a long time.
