The Burwood NSW branch canceled my initial appointment with no explanation. Luckily I secured a role before I was required to make my compulsory second appointment, so I cancelled my Newstart claim and then called the Jobs Statewide 1300 number to advise them I would not be attending. It went through to a voicemail where I left a message. While at work the next day I received a call but could not answer as I was in a meeting. I returned the call (to an Adelaide number) and the girl I spoke to advised that it was probably the 1300 team calling and that she'd leave them a message to call me again.I heard nothing so 2 days later I called the 1300 number again and again it went through to voicemail. To date, no response. As these useless job providers are paid a small fortune when they sign up a hapless candidate, obviously I was of no use to them (i.e. they couldn't claim $$$s from the government), so they ignored me. WFTD is an endless cycle of pushing people at the lowest point in their life to the brink of poverty. Having seen the Burwood offices in person and the caliber of staff working there, this company is not getting any a job.Quick update: I finally spoke to someone 2 weeks after this and was advised that I should just ignore any correspondence from Jobs Statewide for a month and hopefully that will remove me from the database. Seriously? Since then, I've received 2 texts and 2 letters. What a waste of taxpayer money these programs are.Further update: Yesterday I received a call from the Adelaide Head Office asking whether I'd attended my scheduled appointment that day. Again I advised that I'd found work, had cancelled my Newstart claim and had repeatedly asked to be removed from the system. The representative apologised and went to speak to a supervisor to see what could be done. The result? Apparently I need to email a payslip from my new role to them to prove I have found work as people just drop out and we have a responsibility to job seekers". I am not sending you a payslip

This is the first review I have ever posted for anything and the only reason I am posting it is because I am appalled at the service I have received from Jobs-Statewide in Burwood.Today, I was verbally abused and talked down by a Recruitment Consultant for not replying to some automated text messages she had allegedly sent to my mobile number last week. I had received a few calls from a private number but I refrain from answering private numbers due to the all the scam calls that I often receive. I did NOT receive any automated text messages. Initially, I was contacted from a normal mobile number and so that was the number I had saved - the FIRST recruitment consultant who contacted me was extremely respectful, professional and very helpful. This is the person you should speak to if you still decide to engage with this place despite my review. His customer service is a 5/5.The other recruitment consultant, on the other hand, was extremely rude and said she didn’t “believe me” in regards to the automated text messages and was implying that I did receive these automated texts but just didn’t care to reply to them or call the office back. This is false. I only received one text message last week and that was from the first consultants number which I promptly called/texted back to no avail. The rude consultant then proceeded to call me “stupid”. Naturally, I was shocked at this point. I have worked in recruitment/customer service myself, both for the government and also for non-profit organisations and I have never behaved or seen anyone behave in this manner. Ever. She also refused to give me her last name when I asked for it because it was her “legal right” to refuse. It is also my legal right to openly write this review and make a formal complaint to her regional manager as well as the NSW Ombudsman should it come to that.Management, although better than the rude consultant in their professionalism wasn’t much help either and seemed very dismissive towards the situation. However, they did assure me that they will let the rude consultant know to apologise which she did send me a written apology as per my request, as well as evidence (a transcript of the alleged calls and texts she had sent out to me). Unfortunately, the apology was weak and she only apologised for how I was unsatisfied for the services I received and the miscommunication, rather than apologising for HER behaviour, HER inappropriate language and ultimately the way in which SHE handled the entire situation. Miscommunication happens, people miss calls and mobile carriers fail to send texts. I can understand all this but I struggle to understand the way in which this particular staff member handled the situation. The evidence (transcript) she sent me of the calls and text messages did not even have my name, nor my mobile number on it and thus holds no merit. I do not accept this feeble piece of evidence and have since requested for an amended written apology letter along with substantial evidence of the calls and texts that actually shows my name and mobile number on it.For this reason, as I mentioned, I have contacted said staff members regional manager, unless I receive a proper apology where she admits her faults. Till then this situation will be pending but I can assure you that due to the behaviour of certain individuals; Jobs-Statewide in Burwood is NOT worth the visit and this particular worker is most definitely NOT suited to her role as a recruitment consultant.1/5
