What to say… it’s just another backpacker. Never fully clean but it serves it’s purpose. After 4 days living offgrid with no shower, we loved a warm (not hot) salty water shower. Plenty of space and acceptable kitchen.

Good luck getting onto the top bunk of the bunk beds. no ladders provided. 8am kitchen opening is ridiculous. It's one of those places where you feel because of the location they just don't bother with offering certain nessesaties because people have to stay there regardless.

Unfortunately, that has been the worst hostel of my entire 2 months in Australia. We booked a dorm of 4 (we were 2). When we got to the hostel we asked to see the private room… they didn’t want to show it. We decided to get one anyway. We were told afterwards that wifi was not available for the guess has they had limited connection. The lady at reception told us to go the the reef cafe to have WiFi (they open at 18h…)Room was quite big, linen clean. The windows are sooo dirty you can’t see through the screens, same with the air trap and AC. Full of dust and smelly. We even decided to leave the AC off has it was smelling of mildew. It is about the same for the kitchen and the bathroom. They are cleaned everyday day but they would need a throughout refresh. The air vent on the ceiling are driping in dust, etc. The pool is a nice add on. The kitchen is close from 9hpm to 8ham… we learned it the hard way has we wanted to hit the road early but couldn’t cause our food was in the fridge. They were about 15 persons waiting in front of the kitchen at 8h.We didnt get what we paid for and I think that since they are almost the only accommodation in town, they dont really care. Would not come back!

The location is excellent. Aircon in the rooms works well. Plenty of showers and toilets. There is even a pool and a bar. Down sides are you are not allowed to bring your own booze onto the site as it has its own license. The provision of utensils, cutlery etc in the kitchen was poor. I would however, definitely use the place again!!

Terrible place even if the location is good. They put all the group in just one room, was cold and rain and we had to ask for blankets and leave a deposit for each (summer) blanket, only one plug in the whole room, the very rude and not nice receptionist girl give us extensions (photo attached).Showers not working, in general not clean, not good service.

Fairly standard rooms, carpet is getting a little dated but rest of the room is adequate for a backpackers. Kitchen is decent, bathrooms and toilet are run down and are not always clean. Location is a bit of a walk to the beach being at the start of the town, not far but not exactly beach on your doorstep like the rest of coral bay.

Quite okay Hostel, with nice pool and outdoor area.Unfortunately they only have wifi from 9 to 3pm and if you’re not with Optus, you won’t be getting any reception up there (even then it’s quite bad) so I’m the evening you’ll have to go to some other place to get some WiFi

Overpriced for what they offer. 40$ for a 10 dorm room, wifi only from 9am-3pm, rude staff.

Probably the worse hostel we’ve stayed at for a while although budget options are limited, we wished we had stayed at the resort across the road at double the price. No Wifi, this should be more prominent in 2023 listings, as there is wifi for 6 hours only 9am-3pm. The whole place is need of refurbishment. The kitchen hours are limited 8-10 which means you’ll not be able to get any breakfast before the tours start (most at 8am).Uncomfortable bedding and double rooms have a bunk bed against the wall. No mirror in the rooms. The men’s bathroom didn’t have hand soap for the three days we were there. There is also limited cold water, which means you can only take scolding hot showers!Good location although Coral Bay is small enough that all accommodation is well locate. Decent air conditioning.
