Never get caught asking for a shower caddy.... how do I dare to ask for an item like that in a such fancy place!!!! The owner said that a shower caddy is an item that you can only find in a 2$ shop and I should have gone elsewhere to find it. She kept saying she sells only elegant items! First of all, I am not even sure the owner has never seen in her life elegant items.Second, she assumed that I wanted to spend few dollars treating me like trash... Mam it is not the item itself that makes the price but the quality and the design! Besides if you want to sell elegant items try to do it in a shop that does not look like a bazar! not recommended!

Extremely rude customer service. The lady at the desk needs definitely to chill if her idea is continuing working as a sales assistant or if she’s the owner now I understand why the store is always empty

I bought two amazing large morroccan paintings and a small loungeroom whitewashed coffee table from here, the lady at the counter was great! She helped me pick something that suited my home and also gave me great ideas and color schemes to match my new place......Best homewares store in Sydney by far, best quality and felt good supporting a local store, thanks again!

Terrible customer service.I went in to the new store to purchase a wedding present, I knew exactly what I wanted, walked straight over to the item which was about 10 steps inside the shop- no hello or anything from the shop assistant, was just told to leave as I had food in my hand. I had a biscuit from the beautiful bakery next door with 1 mouthful to go. I am a 40 year old woman, I know how to eat without spilling food.Never again will I go to this store. Instead I went to the beautiful wild forager and spent my money there and was given beautiful service.I am all about supporting local and shopping small and not online hence why I intended to purchase at freshwater house. I was the only customer in the store and was made to feel like a naughty child. No thanks I don’t have to put up with being spoken to like that.

I had a lovely experience browsing this store in July before lockdown hit. It's a treasure trove of beautiful homewares and gifts. The owner was very pleasant, personable and helpful. I would love to know if there's a website for purchases or a click and collect type service whilst stores are closed in lockdown.

I love this shop! I was looking for cushions and this shop did not disappoint in that department. It has a huge array of gorgeous cushions, lots with feather inserts, for really reasonable prices. The shop is full of beautiful coastal homewares. I also picked up some merino wool drinks coasters. The owner is lovely, she helped me with styling tips and was very accommodating to my requests and questions. I will definitely be going back!

Similar experience to others on this review feed - I stood in the entrance of (the empty) store and asked if I could quickly bring my very well behaved dog in quickly to purchase something - was told in a v offhand way by a lady who was talking on the phone (clearly to friend ) - 'No as there was a strict no pet policy' - I have no problem with this but the tone was quite rude - combined with a large sign saying 'no prams' the overall impression was of a very unfriendly not customer serviced environment- I was surprised to see this attitude in a lovely family friendly suburb - i will be suggesting my friends do not frequent this shop.

I was totally mesmerised by the beautiful products in the shop. Great customer service too. The owner is so friendly and helpful. I found amazing gifts and will definitely come back!

I wasn’t going to write a review because I know everyone can have a bad day. But after seeing the responses to other comments I feel like I have to. The fact that it’s a small business doesn’t give you the right to treat people the way you do. You kept chasing me around the store and being quite rude and snappy. I was looking for a special present for a future mamma and I got the worst vibes from the woman at the shop; I felt judged the minute I walked in. The store has some nice objects, that’s why is rated it with another star, but there are heaps of local shops with kind and friendly owners around Freshie and Manly in which you’ll def have a much nicer experience than here.

Extremely rude service. Walked in the door with my baby sleeping in the pram, was quickly snapped at “leave the pram outside”. Not even a “hello”. I couldn’t get into the old shop with pram so I was looking forward to checking out the new store because there was more room. Not worth waking my baby to pull him out and leave my pram on the street. I’m a local and won’t be back in. I’ll be sure to pass on my bad experience to everyone.
