I contacted Ian for a quote on a custom canopy, and at the time of our call I really didn’t know what I wanted Ian to build, so naturally he couldn’t accurately quote. He invited me to bring my boat to his home workshop in Jilliby so we could sit down and design a suitable canopy. Ian gave me his dedicated attention whilst he designed and sketched the canopy I had in mind for my boat. After the design was done, I felt completely confident that my boat was in good hands, and I was no longer concerned about leaving my boat at Ian’s home workshop for the duration. Ian was so easy to deal with, and just by talking with him you could tell that he takes pride in his work and he genuinely cares about the end result. Ian designed and built a custom made extended canopy for my 4.8 aluminium runabout, with removable front and side clears, and the end result is better than I had imaged. Ian has completely transformed my plain old fishing boat into a versatile fishing / family / recreational boat with shade and weather protection for the whole family. Ian listened and he delivered on every level, and I honestly could not have imaged a better custom canopy for my boat. Ian’s price was absolutely fair and responsible considering the work he put into this canopy, and I would highly recommend Ian’s work to anyone.
