It's an ok school but Mr McArdle was *THE* teacher of the school. Actually makes classes enjoyable and had a great reputation with the students.

The college has amazing facilities with state of the art theatre, dance theatre, library and cafeteria on par with a private school. Whilst the college is relatively new it has some great programs in place particularly for year 9 and up. Kids can choose football, netball, recreational activities and more as one of their optional subjects. The school has an on-site wellness hub with a psychologist and youth workers available at all times. The attitude and behaviour of the students fall to the responsibility of the parents and whilst the school can try manage bad behaviour it starts in the home. Most of the kids here are great with only a handful ruining the reputation of the school. My daughter has been given alot of homework and has been required to do lots of assignments etc and feels she is leaning alot during class.Give the school a chance, we have really great suburbs in the catchment and should support the students and teachers to do their best.

DO NOT RECOMMEND some teachers are ok but some are horrible. they do nothing to stop bullying and there are lots of fights. the uniform is very thick and hot. you don’t write anything down in your books it’s just on whiteboards so you can’t check back on any notes. the bathrooms are filled with people vaping and doing tik toks.

This gets a star because its better then atwell. Teachers don't properly punish misbehaviour60% of lessons are daily reviews, basic teaching what we learnt yesterday, surprise it was a review. Material caters to those at the very bottom of the educational tree. Year 9 should not be learning 20 + 8Children with mental illness are put in regular classes, bullied and teachers dont do anything. This school should be classified as the one that doesn't do anything

keep MR McArdle he is the nicest teacher in the school and is one of the few good teachers when I got stabbed by a pen at the start of the 4th term MR McArdle was the only teacher to call my mum and ask how I was doing and will always ask me how my back is every homeroom and if it wasn't for MR McArdle I wouldn't go to HPSC also if MR Mac isn't here next year I would have 3 different homeroom teachers and it wont fell the same with out MR McArdle

EDITED: May have I been slightly harsh the last I visited here? Yes. I am here to update my review after more concise inspection. So, let’s start with the good news shall we.Well the school has some pretty engaging and high quality teachers, very friendly and enjoy their jobs. Another positive is that it has very nice facilities, though I feel the school was constructed and designed for looks and not function. I hope this is later improved on next year in its expansion.Though, it’s not all so great. By far the worst of the school is some of the students at least their behaviour per say. Constant vandalism, vaping, and a wide array of otherworldly childish behaviour. That’s just the first issue though. The school insists on giving you so much paper after 4 weeks students bags are the size Diana Gabaldon or JRR Tolkien book. I mean parents pay for photocopying and we’ll these bills must be massive. They also push “whiteboard work” on students. Yes, alike year 3 you write answers on a white board and quote “chin it” and “bin it”. Now this wouldn’t be so bad if I run out of markers weekly. Constantly doing whiteboard work after whiteboard work, I don’t see this as learning, i see this as a cheap way to force students to burn things into their memory. Homeostasis… Homeostasis… Homeostasis… Every single lesson the first 25-50% is spent on a daily review, sure it could help with memory, but it’s the same brain numbing questions, not making students think. They just memorise answers. I’ll stop rambling now though. In conclusion, the schools not bad, but it needs to fix; student behaviour, bad design and architecture and finally the brain numbing lesson style. It’s positives are as follows, great teachers, good looks, and great facilities.Original: Average school, although they don’t keep their students in order. The only soloist they have to problems is narrowing down areas students can go. Eg vandalism in bathroom? Lock all the bathrooms for an entire term and repeat for 3 years. :/. Students being loud in cafeteria, lock it for a while term. They don’t allow students to use hallways. Why? I don’t know, but teachers can. Students have to walk past build sites to get to classes. Some things that are taught make 0 sense. Well at least I have never seen any other school ever teach them. It was a nice school until more students arrived, it feels like they have so much wasted space with ugly forested or pointless outdoor areas, forcing building to be smaller and have less room. Teachers aren’t that bad, in fact some are the best I’ve seen. Subjects/ electives are pretty mid if I say so my self, don’t get to pick until year 9 and then have strict rules on what you can pick. Eg 1 art subject, 1 tech, no more than 2 sports and must have one sport for each semester. Seems ok until you realise some students aren’t interested in wasting time in say art. You HAVE to pick art which consists of: 2D, sculpture, drama. Why would this be a mandatory, last I checked my sculpting skills weren’t important in computer science or baseball. In class they insist on using white boards and have all these ‘childish’ (said by a teacher and student) terms such as “chin it” “hover it” and “bin it”. This annoys me as students don’t learn at their own pace, even worse they dwell on the same subject too long. Fast learners get bored and uninterested in class and slow learners fail and again get uninterested. In English 2021 they tested a new form of learning called modern learning were students use OneNote to learn at their own pace. They can still interact and ask questions but everyone is at a different point. This works and should come back. Overall not the worst school but pretty average 4/10

So chaos lots of student violence and fights. Trash everywhere. DO NOT Recommend. Teachers do nothing to stop bullying or violence at best just a 1 day in school suspension. TERRIBLE ONE STAR!!!
