Beautiful day and we were told to bring jackets when we booked. Cold chairs obviously in the shade, too long to get coffee and breakfast ordered from a simple limited menu. Couldn't order coffee and cake after the meal as didn't want to wait another 20 mins. Seated on a slope so not comfortable. The views great but prefer to look and find a more welcoming cafe with a bit more sunshine.

Place and ambience was great, had outdoor seating during sunset with a good view. Mains were great and delicious, premium cocktail were a bit too much per serve. Special dessert of the day chocolate mud cake were a little bit too thick and dry.

2023 ReviewWe have been visiting, eating at this place for the past 10+years and bringing friends and families on multiple occasions.With a great deal of sadness!We are changing our review from 5Star to 2Star due to few reasons.The food standard has dropped over the year due to high turn over customers and the food are being rush, lack of love and lack of attention to details.Eg:Scrambled Egg was rubbery and the food was sent back to kitchen.Burger are so dry lack of butter or sauce.Price for a meal has significantly increased from low $20 to near $30 for breakfast.In our opinion the current food quality does not match up with the current price.We have now reconsider bringing back our friends and families for a meal at the light house.2022 ReviewWe had Goat cheese-Onion Quiche and Burger with Poach Egg , Egg Bennedicts (picture as attached)Food are Fresh and Yum as always!We loved the menu - Don't change anything.Not to mention the spectacular View - Don't forget to Visit the Museum after your meal!

Busy, but lovely little cafe with an amazing view. Food is delicious... best coffee ☕️ i have had all week here in Nelson Bay!! Highly recommend booking in advance.

We appreciate being seated on a busy Sunday morning without a reservation. No complaints about staff or amazing views but the scons were a huge disappointment. Dry, not fluffy and tasteless. It could be that we picked the wrong day for scons, they were old or the batch failed. Eggs Benedict were average but the coffee was really good.

Beautiful location & such stunning views!Scones were massive & delicious, as was the coffee. It's definitely worth a visit... I'll be going back.

Beautiful spot with nice food and tasty beef burger, only tip is the ice tea probably need to improve a bit given this is tea room. Overall it is worth to visit and sit down for a quick bite.

Spectacular view - probably the best view I can recall having whilst having lunch. There was limited parking but we were fortunate to get one and also managed to get a table without booking. The burger was good, but as it was over the $20 mark, I was expecting a side of fries ( or similar) for that price. They didnt serve fries, so I ordered a side of mushrooms instead for an additional charge. Both were delicious though. My husband had the salmon bagel which was delicious. With two soft drinks as well, our meals came to just over $60 so if you are on a budget, I would recommend the sandwiches or scones which looked amazing. I will definitely go back for the view.
