Fernvale Memorial Park
The new park is a lot smaller than the last one, there's no swings, all parent seating is located outside the perimeter fence and the park is no longer appropriate for younger kids.Such a shame. It seems like we lost so much variety and play equipment only to gain a semi decent train...If you have little ones, spend the 10mins and pop over to lowood, their 2 public playgrounds are much better, almost just as new and twice the size.And on a side note, the male public toilet is an absolute cesspit.

Good park for families or a stop. Bakery or coffee across the road, but you will wait 30 mins on weekends . Park has plenty of parking and clean toilets. BBQs and rail trail running behind it.

Nice park but very hard to cross the busy road to get some takeaway. No pedestrian crossing and speed limit 60km/h every town speed limit is 50km/h.

A cool place to go for the day eateries and all fun park for the children and family outing. Bakery shops,restaurants, local pub.

Nice spot to relax and chill out to break the drive. Buy a pie or two from the Old Fernvale bakery.

Decent stop point if your doing the rail trail on a pushie. Toilets and bubblers nearby along with undercover picnic tables that are large and well made. Plenty of carparks. There is no pedestrian crossing to get to shops and pub so during weekend peak can be quite busy if you have kids. Bakery over the road is great. The rail trail path is right there going through it so very handy. Tourist buses usually frequent the area as well.
