Melrose has been my fur babies vet for nearly 30 years. In that time I’ve had 5 Great Danes (and a few cats). The sincere care, dedication and professionalism they provide is such a comfort when you are most vulnerable and sometimes a blubbering mess...I can’t praise the staff enough for the care they show my pets, especially Remington, and the comforting reassurance that they will do everything they can to help, above and beyond.In the past I’ve had a few midnight emergencies and they and their sister clinic have always come to the rescue. Even a home visit to help Xarli pass peacefully and handling the cremation process.This is why l recommend them without any hesitation and thank them so very much for everything they do.Pat Jedeck... and Remington, Xarli, Yardley, Lady#1 and Lady#2 (... don’t ask, it was my parents!)

I was taking my animal to this vet this morning and could hear the workers screaming at someones dog who was out the back telling it to shutup and other things and making it more in distress this poor dog was whining and yes it was loud obviously has anxiety issues being away from its owners, it's really unacceptable to be screaming at someone else's dog the way they were my heart broke hearing this I will never return here such lack of care and compassion disgusting

A truly great place to have your animal buddies taken really good care of. Our cockatoo Paulie became very ill and if it wasn't for the professional staff, especially Dr Ingrid Paulie would no longer be with us.Thank you guys.

Haven’t been here for awhile but our whippet was not by a car doing 100km on the highway. It was after hours and this vet was the only one open. We took our dog here and the vet staff were simply amazing. They gave us options with what we could do for our four legged family member and cared for him extremely well whilst he was in there for a while. Vet fees are expensive but I feel that they did not abuse the charges and helped our dog get well. He survived and is going just fine. Vet care doesn’t get any better than what we experienced here.

Best care for your pet? Hardly! I took my dog spotty there for emergency treatment first thing in the morning and she was put in a cage and died 4 1/2 hours later and still got a bill for treatment, not sure how that works, havent taken my other dog there since....and would not recommend their service

I have a pet chicken with a sore eye and live about an hour from Wodonga, I initially took her to my local vet to be treated and was really unhappy with the lack of care for my chicken and felt like I was made to feel stupid for wanting my chicken to see a vet.From the moment I called Melrose I spoke to Lou who was really lovely and kind and listened to me, she said she would call me back which I was a little worried wouldn’t happen but an hour later I was called back and booked in with dr Ingrid. Who was amazing with our chicken, so knowledgeable about birds and really actually cares about our birds well being and gave me lots of tips on how to make sure they were in the best health, so nice to have a really caring avian vet in our regional area. All the staff were really lovely! Thankyou guys!

These guys are the best, Mum has often told me how nice they are. I had to take her there with her old dog yesterday and got to experience it for myself. I was so impressed with the care and empathy for both of them from the time we entered to the time we left. Well done guys!

A huge thank you to Melrose Animal Hospital and staff. My puppy got sick during the Easter period and they were the only vet I could find that were open. The lady I spoke to over the phone was most wonderful and helpful. My dogs do not attend this clinic but after this interaction I will be switching vet clinics.
