Hunnington has long been a place my husband and I wanted to visit and when we did so, we were not disappointed!Dave and his trusty sidekick Scip the Maremma were absolutely wonderful to us - happily talked us through the development of the distillery, the science behind it and the explanation of the name Dead Man’s Point.Dave quite clearly loves what he and his wife Liz have achieved with Dead Man’s Point and that comes across during the tasting.If you find yourself around Kettering, please make the time to visit Hunnington/Dead Man’s Point - it’s an absolute delight and we loved our experience!

Do yourself a favour and visit Hunnington Distillery! We visited on a cold and wet Saturday morning and were warmly greeted by David and his gorgeous Maremma sheepdog.Apart from the fascinating story behind David's foray into distilling spirits, the tastings on offer were amazing, whether it be the vodka, gin or whisky, you can't go wrong! The whisky was some of the best I've tasted in Tassie, and I've certainly tried a few over the years. Thanks David for your hospitality and we'll definitely be back again!

David generously fitted us in for a tasting at short notice. He shared a wonderful personable tale about his journey in distilling and gave great explanations prior to the tasting of each spirit. His passion and talent for his chosen craft was evident. All of the spirits he presented were extraordinary, but the whiskey is truly something special. Thank you for sharing your lovely home and craft David and Liz.

Fantastic gentleman who was very generous with his time. You can tell when someone is really passionate about what they do and it comes through in the final product. All the gins and vodkas are fantastic with the coffee vodka being my favorite of the clear spirits but the showstopper was the whiskey; in my opinion it is really something special and unique.

Elizabeth is a lovely and welcoming host. Despite arriving almost at closing time (she had to rush off to a whiskey event), she graciously invited us (group of 6) for tasting, despite being pressed for time. She was patient and explained her products with passion. Kudos!

A must visit if you're passionate about whiskey, gin or vodka. Elizabeth, David (and Skip) were incredibly easy going and happy to explain the distilling process to newbies like us. Whilst we tasted the goods Skip looked after our 5yr old daughter, a win win.

Absolutely beautiful distillery! Such a great personalised tour of the processes and history of the spirits. The tasting was such a beautiful experience. Allow about an hour and a half for the experience. Would 100% recommend!
