A quiet clean and pleasant space to read or study. Close to cafes to pop out for lunch. Wheelchair accessible, clean bathrooms. A great book selection and the Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The quiet room is great for studying or working.

Fantastic library! I am there atleast once a week and getting books from other libraries is a breeze and super efficient.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. Great facilities and the selection of books is noteworthy. When I've requested a book they don't have the staff helped me place a formal request and since the book completed a set, they are able to accommodate. We also enjoy the wiggle and read for my daughter.

Altona library is open again for patrons!!! It is very exciting to have the libraries back open albeit with reduced hours. I have it on good authority that they are looking to get back to normal hours and in person programs asap

What’s with the opening hours? You could at least stagger with other libraries in the area so that people have options. I can never get to the library with these hours, so it doesn’t matter how many books you have or how nice the space is... I can’t access any of it. Fail.

Great place with very good services. They are also COVID-19 safe, u need to check-in front of entrance. Show proof of your check-in to someone at the door, b4 they will open the door for u. Hand sanitizer through out library

Staff here are lovely. The lovely lady led me through each step to get my printing done, and when the printer wasn’t working all the other librarians came to help out.The space is very clean and pleasant. Love to come here and study in the quiet study room!

I think it is time, for the council of Hobson bay to change the printer of the Altona Library. Its old and outdated, it never even works well. Caused serious inconvenience to both the users of the library and the same staff, many times they cannot solve technical problems between the computer and the printer. It's a waist of time and frustrate to go there to work and can't resolve. Thanks to the lovely staff always willing to help!
