Mellenbye Station Stay
Just returned from our second stay at mellenbye and it just keeps getting better. Stayed in McDonald’s cottage this time which has a living room aswell as bedroom. Veranda faces the escarpment with a great big fire pit in front. Quality of accommodations are very high, nice and new, clean and well furnished. We had more time this stay and visited the very interesting spots they recommend and provide detailed directions to. The amount of water on this station is incredible, with plenty of bird life, wild animals and of course wild flowers. Malcolm was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend you add this to your bush tours.

Mellenbye Station Stay
We had a delightful stay at Mellenbye, the accommodation options , communal kitchens,etc. on offer have to be seen to be believed. We were very comfortable and managed to tag along with Shelley to the nearby lake, very spontaneous and appreciated. We met up with friends and it could not have been a better venue for families with children to have a unique holiday.

Wow! Such a beautiful lady is Shelley the owner. We had an amazing 3week stay as camp hosts and met some lovely people.An incredible experience looking at the workings and challenges running a cattle station in a remote area. Do yourselves a favour and stay on a station stay, we couldn't recommend it enough.Such diverse landscapes and wildlife to observe in a pristine natural environment. @mellenbyestationstay was spectacular.... Mellenbye Station Stay
We had fabulous 3 nights stay here. There are many options for accommodation and have great kitchen and toilets. Hosts were really awesome.Amazing sunrise, sunset and starry sky. Also there are many things to see and do.We can certainly recommend, thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

Lovely friendly people to deal with, and all the amenities were neat and clean.There were also lots of amazing things to see and do around the station. Fantastic entertainment on one night that we there in the shearing shed.We will definitely be going back.Thank you Mellenbye!!

What a wonderful few days we had. Camping facilities were great. Lovely clean ensuites with hot water. Awesome surrounds and things to see including the rock, breakaways and lakes and not forgetting the amazing woodshed ( very nostalgic for me). Scenery amazing.Wonderful host in Shelly.. a big thankyou to you all.. Jen

Amazing dark skies, suitable for both astronomy enthusiasts as well as anyone who is interested in seeing what the night sky is really like.Very comfortable and clean rooms, with air conditioning for the day and heater at night.Stayed for 4 nights, as a group of 11 persons. The kitchen in the cottage was really handy for the late suppers when we were all out under the stars all night.We will be coming back for wildflower season.Really enjoyed the 3 hour tour of the station by Shelly.The website FAQs are very informative - they highlight the need to bring your own food and water. Go there, unplug, and enjoy nature and the universe in its purest.

Mellenbye Station Stay
Mellenbye is a great destination or overnight stop. Accommodation has been upgraded in recent years and the authentic buildings lend themselves to a very good camp kitchen and museum. Ablutions in the camping area are basic but ok and the chalets are well appointed with ensuites.

Mellenbye Station Stay
This is a must go to destination. If you want to find a moment in perfect silence, where the day and night skies are huge, and you want to experience a snippet of what living on a station might be like, this maybe for you. It's not perfect but it is pretty darn good for a night or two. Access is via a 5km dirt road and when we went it was wet, muddy, and slippery. Not a great place to access in a sedan but perfectly fine for an SUV or 4WD.
