Decided on the Alma as the menu has something for everyone. Loved that they have a plant based menu too. Not sure where the quinoa was in the quinoa bowl" tho? Mostly all spinach leaves. My friends said that their steak & salmon was cooked nicely however overall food lacked seasoning. Lovely interior

I had my baby shower at the Alma recently and was very impressed. Sarah, the program organiser was very responsive to my emails and I made several changes at the last minute and they were very happy to accommodate us. All of my guests enjoyed the food and atmosphere, the fire place was amazing and kept us all beautifully warm on a cold wintery day.

Awesome place to go for the pub quiz on a Tuesday. Had dinner here twice and both times were great. Burgers, schnitzels, nachos etc - all good.Specific shout out to the gluten-free pizza. It's the least-gluten-free-tasting pizza I've ever eaten - they're usually tough and hard but this was almost like eating normal pizza. My parents also enjoyed the senior weekday lunch - $20 for 3 courses

Delicious burgers!! Heaps of gluten free options that are also coeliac friendly. Beautiful atmosphere in the dining area. Special mention to Kyle who has the best customer service!!! He really added to our experience there! Thanks Kyle!

Visited this place a couple of times. On one occasion it was to attend a talk show put on by the local council. The second visit was to take part in a pub quiz night that's held on a weeknight. The Tavern is very conveniently located on the corner of Magill Road and Sydenham Road, on the eastern side while going out from the CBD. It's just a short drive from the city to get there. The place is very cosy and the atmosphere was great on both the occasions. The food was good, reasonably priced and came out quickly. The staff at the Alma were pleasant and helpful. All in all, a very nice place to have a meal and have a good time.⭐⭐⭐⭐

Spacious dining area with a good vibe to chill. It has some nice booths. Peking duck pizza was very interesting. Soft dough. And could do with more duck meat on the pizza. But it tasted pretty good. Sweet potato fries were crispy and thin. Very addictive and delicious. Chicken schnitzel was tad bit dry. Crumb was crunchy. Mushroom sauce was too thick and mac and cheese was too diluted and lacked flavour. House chips were not bad but not very crispy. Hit and miss

Great atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon, for a catch up and some casual beers,Ordered hot chips and some sweet potato chips, cant complain good serving size and tasted really good, came with saucesThe Only down side was that the lady could not bring out to the outdoor beer garden due to a weird policy, but however u can sit inside wait for them to bring to you and take outside with you,

Good selection of food that most times tastes great (although sometimes a bit over cooked). Includes a good selection of vegan options.Service is quite slow though, even just for drinks so wouldn’t come here if in a rush. We come here semi regularly on our lunch break from work, however we make sure to pre-order. The few times we haven’t it’s taken closer to 2 hrs between order between ordering and leaving (lucky our bosses are flexible!).Lots of seating areas, a restaurant and outdoor beer garden. Nice atmosphere in all seasons.
