Tweed River Hacienda Holiday Park

The park itself was beautiful. Hats off to the caretakers for cleanliness. Could not fault the amenities. Too bad one of the permanent residents was so rude to us at the bbq area when she found the tables taken. Hinting there is no room for people renting sites in this caravan park! Tourists beware! One person can make it thoroughly unwelcoming!

I stayed in one of the cheapest rooms and the accommodation was 2 stars quality but everything was neat and clean...the price was a bargain which is why I gave 3 stars. It's located on the river with water entry available and only a 5min drive to the beachfront. Short walk away is the Chinderah Tavern which serves great meals.

Friendly staff, very quiet park (lots of permanent residents), older style amenities but very clean and plenty of hot water. Enjoyed my stay.

Office was closed when we arrived (after a nine hour drive), so we couldn't gain access to our rooms, which we had paid for in advance. Finally got it sorted after a couple of hours chasing staff on the after hours emergency number which park attendants did not answer.Rooms were not particularly clean and the mould in the one bathroom we had in my room could have put an asthmatic in hospital. Our other 'adjoining' room had the microwave on top of the refrigerator sitting in a pool of water from the condensation off the top of the fridge. One of my children fell through the rope railing surrounding our verandah when it gave way while he was leaning on it, causing him to fall backwards into the garden below. We awoke on our second morning to the water supply having been cut, with no notification from staff. The place is very 'tired' and in desperate need of updating.On the plus side, the park is ideally located right on the river... Close to shopping, tourist attractions and all conveniences.

Ours kids got us a cabin for our anniversary, the cabin was clean, it had everything we needed. The checkin was simple and despite the rain all weekend, the view was still beautiful. I would absolutely stay again and would recommend a stay there

Beautiful spot, right on the river. We just spent a few nights in one of the cabins here. Enough room to have somewhere to crash. Very clean grounds and cabin. We will be returning to stay in one of the villas in a few months time. We have family at Homestead so was nice and easy to get to and from.

Great park as it's right on the Tweed Heads river. The views are spectacular. The facilities were excellent. Having 1 key between us was frustrating, as he went early morning fishing. I awoke and couldn't use the facilities.

It's a low-end trailer park. Obviously, very poor people reside in this low-end housing. However, everyone needs housing. The park could have better maintenance. Several of the motorhomes are in need of repair, and several of them have boards covering where windows should be located.

Just had a great week in cabin 3 with the family, clean, quiet, unit has everything you need full kitchen, washing machine and dryer, magnificent views of the river, will be back

The Manager and Park handyman abused me for parking out the front of My mother's house that she owns .to unload some things for My mother yet other residents are allowed to park there for over half hour .when I confronted them as to why .I was banned .I'm my mother's carer and next of Kin .The Manager is discriminating of indigenous people. But not anyone else. The park handyman Barry drives around drunk and puts stickers on only the cars he wants to pick on .The amenities aren't cleaned properly. The grounds not much better .Take My advice. Don't stay there .there's much nicer ones to stay in .The owner of this park need better staff and to take Better care of the permanent residents who pay him rent
