I have been fortunate enough to have used this facility a couple of times and some of these reviews are extremely incorrect in my opinion. This facility treats people who may at times get easily confused so reviews need to be read according. My experience is you would not find a nicer receptionist in the world. The facility is new with all facilities you would require. The doctors are amazing. The food is extremely good with a selection of salads and desserts. The kitchen open 24 hours with fruit ,biscuits, coffee and a fridge full of drinks. Lovely gardens and outdoor areas to rest and relax. Exercise and education classes which are very beneficial. Games ,TV and family rooms for visitors. Nursing staff who are amazing especially Julie and Christine. Medication is given efficiently. The hospital is set amongst a peaceful relaxing environment besides a rainforest. My only fault is they would not let me stay longer. I would highly recommend.

I saw Dr Dhushan Illesinghe a few months ago for treatment of primarily ADHD. I was on antipsychotics at that time, and he told me it would be fine to immediately stop them and begin another medication. I began to have severe symptoms of psychosis and had an emergency appointment with him, which he advised me (with a medical student in the room) that he cannot treat me as a patient and there was nothing he could do for me". He said ideally he would like me to start ADHD medication in the private hospital

Disgraceful. They refused to admit my daughter because the psychiatrists refused to take her as a patient because her problems were too difficult to deal with.

I am walking, talking proof that this team can change your life! It’s absolutely worth joining the waitlist for an appointment.I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for two exceptional psychiatrists at Cooinda - both Dr Illesinghe and Dr Moss have given me the care and guidance to excel in my career and build relationships in a way I never thought possible.I also owe my success to psychologist Dr Human and highly recommend his knowledge in treating severe ADHD in adults.I am forever grateful.

The worst psychiatric facility I have ever been to. The level of care was absolutely abysmal. The nurses didn't facilitate medications correctly so was left without critical medication for three days. My psychiatrist kept trying to prescribe me antidepressants and manipulate me into taking them. It was so atrocious I left on the fourth day. Do not recommend. If I could give it no stars I would

Left after 1 day because Dr. Hughes decided my psychiatrist was wrong about the prescription I was on and put me on something completely different. This was after he asked me multiple questions about my trauma which I have a very hard time going into detail about just to be cut off by him 10 words in. How is a doctor supposed to know how to treat their patients when they won’t even listen to them? Not to mention being placed in room 13 above the staff smoking area so being out on the balcony consisted of constant cigarette smoke which makes me ill. I went in there willing to give rehabilitation a go and I kind of felt like I’ve been crapped on. Respect to the nurses though they are nice people.

These reviews sound about right. I'm thankful one lady at the front desk who was very helpful actually referred me to another psychiatrist, she was understanding. I think some of these doctors are to focused on there on personal success and there comfortable offices , having to understanding on the day to day struggle out there .

I’ve been both an inpatient and outpatient here. My experiences have been very positive. Fantastic facilities and authentic staff. Highly rated.

Quite possibly the worst clinic I've ever been too and I've accumulated some frequent flyer points at various clinics.Psychiatrists here are chronically incompetent; they would administer an anti psychotics for a sprained ankle.Ultimately the place is a not for profit organisation making major profits and cutting lots of corners. You would be better off at a public clinic than to go here.
