JB Hi-Fi Wollongong

The staff are nice and always walk out with some we bought from there. Kids love it.

I sent my friend in there to buy something for me and he told me that the woman that worked there lied about something being available and another helpful man got the item for me, it was in stock. He said the woman that worked there had several customer complaints against her but she was taking out her problems on her customers. I doubt anything was done to stop her from treating the paying customers better.

Outstanding Service! Our dishwasher caught on fire and almost turned into something that could have been much more serious if not fatal had we not come back home in time. I had purchased the dishwasher 4 years ago and the unit had a 5 year manufacturer warranty. I mistakenly thought I had purchased the unit from JB HI-FI Wollongong branch as I almost always purchase all my appliances from this store. I emailed the the store manager photos of the unit and what I thought was the receipt. The response I received from Jack the storeroom manager, followed by the response from Ben the store manager was truly mind blowing. They called the manufacturer and raised an incident response within JB HI-FI. Even after finding out that the receipt was for another appliance from the same manufacturer purchased through this store and that I hadn't purchased this unit from them, they continued the support and phone calls. Their response triggered the manufacturer to act very swiftly. I am indented to the professionalism of the staff of this store. I own my business and understand that finding the right staff in this environment is very difficult and JB HI-FI are truly privileged to have dedicated staff members such as this duo. Just remember when you purchase an appliance, you are not buying just a physical thing. You are getting a complete service and in times of need it is so refreshing to get the right help. I will continue to purchase from this store as I will be comfortable knowing that they will have my back.

While it is alittle cramped, I will say its still petty easy to navigate through - and the staff are very friendly and happy to help out, where they can.There is a huge variety of electronics, trinkets, popculture items. You'd be hard-pressed to NOT find what you're looking for.

They were super fast and super generous when I took my Dell monitor back after it stopped working six months after I bought it. They initially said it was only under repair not replace warranty and that it could take a couple of weeks because it had to go back to Dell in Sydney. But I got a text two days later that it was ready to pick up and they gave me a brand new one - very happy!!

My phone died on King’s Birthday holiday weekend. Went to JB Hifi in Wollongong. Krissy ,one of the managers gave amazing and efficient service. Very happy with new iPhone 14 with accessories and new phone plan.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff that know their stuff, however, DO NOT sign up for their 'mobile extras' insurance plan. IT'S A SCAM. I signed up when I bought my phone from them and have been paying $13 bucks a month since then for 2 yrs, broke my screen the other day and was told in-store that they couldn't do anything for me and that I'd have to contact SquareTrade (the actual owners of their mobile extras insurance). Contacted SquareTrade, made a claim and apparently I'd have to pay $200 (what the phone cost brand new) for a refurbished replacement AND have to wait 2-3 weeks for said replacement with no way to inquire any further. Incredibly disappointed, what an absolute joke. Cannot believe they're getting away with stealing people's money like this.

If you know what you're looking for that's great, but if you need assistance or advice be prepared to wait. The place is always busy, loaded with an enormous amount of products, but not many staff to help. The register staff are quick and efficient, no time for even a courteous welcome or goodbye, you'll just get hustled along so they can serve the next customer behind you. Good luck finding the checkouts or the way out of the store. The atmosphere is like a busy bazaar.

I would like to praise JB HIFI who I think was the manager there which I wished I grabbed his name when we come in Sunday 12th of March. He was amazing. We originally came in looking for a cable for a product which they didn’t end up carrying but he went beyond finding out who carried it for us. We have always bought all our tech products from them and will always will because of the constant great service!! JB HIFI you have amazing staff there that makes you standout so make sure you appreciate them
