Portarlington Mussel Festival
Loved it food was amazing. But is very packed. Arrived there at 8am to enjoy the scenery. A little advice travel there before it opens at 9:30am as by 11:30am you will not find a carpark onsite. Only reason for 4 stars as festival rides were about 5 to 8 minutes walk from the festival entry, festival is sectioned off. And also not enough seating to enjoy a feed.

The set up of the event itself could have been more organised. Alot of people lining up at stalls which made it difficult to walk aroundVery busy day, entertainment was good bit unfortunately could not see some of the stages due to location set up. Good to experience if you have never been before.

Bit harsh, calling that market a 'mussel festival '. Although there were a few options for artists on stage. There were more beer stalls than mussel vendors. Only saw 2 stalls with mussel meals, both had queues of 30 or so. Had to visit the local fish shop for some mussels.

Pretty ordinary, too many people. Good for the local community though. Not enough people selling mussel meals and very long queues. Not my cup of tea, but, a lot of people love it.

Portarlington Mussel Festival
Howard & I attended for the very first time, very impressed with the Volunteer helpers.Impressed with the parking marshalls and free shuttle bus to the gate. Amazed by the amount of different variety of stalls. Congratulations to the organisers and businesses that donated goods etc.We will be back next year for sure. Cheers. 10 out of 10.

Portarlington Mussel Festival
Festival was simply fantastic, people everywhere, heaps of food etc choices, plenty of mussels mussels mussels too, and no annoying dogs to trip over. Very very well organized and the car parking and bus ferrying service first rate. Could not have been better. Well done Portarlington & Local service clubs etc. And once again the No dogs policy - absolutely correct decision!

This is one of the best events on the Bellarine. Mussels, music, food, dancing, local produce shown. Community spirit, a fantastic day out. Family friendly

Portarlington Mussel Festival
it was extremely crowded with not a great deal on offer. I'm not sure what I was expecting but it was more than a large market no where near enough mussel places available. very very long queues and wait times. they also need to increase their bathroom facilities. in saying this though we did see some great acts and meet some wonderful people. just need some fine tuning before they put the event on next year.
