We had a new security door and a new front door lock installed. 5 star service, price and communication. I will not hesitate to engage Argus again for any security related work.

Can't say enough how the great the fence and gates looks. Sooo happy with the overall process. The Installer was a champ and worked with me to ensure that it was installed as I wanted, even making valid suggestions to improve the over all look.

We paid Argus to remove a colour bond fence in July 2020, replace it with an automatic opening gate, and replace wooden verandah railings with metal ones. They booked us in for 2 days to complete both the fence and railings, but it stretched out to Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Monday.I had to contact them to find out why people weren’t turning up or turning up then leaving after a few hours without any communication, had to chase them up to do things that shouldn’t have been left, for example, cement splattered on window, a post they removed from ground left behind when they took the others away, for the soil they dug up to be taken away (which they placed on top of a garden bed, and on top of crushed brick on the driveway which became sludge in the rain). Later on the owner told me they’re not responsible for taking the soil away, the soil “belongs to the house”. I can’t think of any tradesman who has done work for us and not cleaned up after themselves. This wasn’t stated in their quote either. Paint flecks were left on the verandah railings which we had to clean up. The gate was left splattered with dirt on the inside which we cleaned.To automate the gates they dig a channel in the concrete for the power cable. I was told by the owner during the quote that the channel would then be filled in. After asking for it to be done only part of the channel was filled in, and it looks unprofessional, with part of the conduit exposed. There were scorch marks on the railing from a grinder used on it. My husband had to come up with a suggestion that they switch the top railing to a lower spot instead of providing a new piece. In one spot on the driveway where they ground down the old colour bond fence post, they didn’t remove all of it, so you can easily see part of the metal post sticking above the concrete, and the gap between the last railing and ground was high enough to see the mess. My husband had to come up with a solution to conceal the unsightly gap.Some of the soil they dug up they placed on top of crushed brick, which after being rained on turned to heavy sludge. I pointed out that it wasn’t fair that we had to pay someone to remove the sludge from the crushed brick because they dumped it there. The owner said that they don’t take away soil, that the soil “belongs to the house”. He said he’d think about it when I pointed out that it’s not fair that we have to pay to get it fixed. After a few weeks and several attempts to find out what he was going to do about the soil, an email response was sent via an office person, saying that they don’t remove dirt.My husband asked the owner to come out and discuss these concerns. He came an hour late with no reason why. His responses to the issues raised were that the job was more difficult than expected (he had completed the quotation himself), his employees were very busy, one of them couldn’t handle the job and that caused everything to fall behind.We also had difficulties with the gate operation, it opens randomly without the remote being operated. We’d go to bed with the gate shut and wake up to it being open. When we were leaving home we saw the gate opening again. I rang to mention this and I was told that they would speak to the fellow who installs the gate mechanism and that no one else had this trouble. That was a week ago, no response. When the owner came it was mentioned again, and his response was that the fellow who installs the gate is very good at his job, end of discussion, no offer of a solution. I rang their office and spoke to someone else and they sent the person who installed the gate motor to come and look at it. When he came he said that he couldn’t do anything unless he sees the fault. It happened again, he came again and couldn’t find anything wrong. He came out several times until he finally replaced the faulty powerboard.26/11 - When it was drizzling there was someone here; rain didn't stop the work, I was told by admin staff and workers that they were pulled off for other jobs. To get concerns addressed was like pulling teeth.

Love my new automatic gates. Extremely well made. Excellent material and I got exactly what I wanted. Tradies did such a good job and were easy to work with. I am very happy with final product. An excellent company with excellent people from owner, admin staff, to tradies. They really work hard for the customer from initial design to finished product. Would highly recommend them for their work.

We had the Argus team to install a new aluminium slat gate and some security doors and couldn't be happier with the result. The quality is A+ and the price was reasonable considering we now have peace of mind! Would definitely be recommending Argus to all our friends and family.

Argus has provided home security solutions for us since 2000. This morning a roller shutter received a new motor. Argus is always professional, always friendly. It is so nice to have genuinely helpful and competent people who care about their products. A new team member arrived today, and the work ethic was exactly the same: professional, friendly, caring and providing updates for each phase of the repair. Can't recommend Argus highly enough !

Argus Security has been looking after my flyscreen and security needs for about 5 years. They provide a great service, are very knowledgeable and offer solutions to many problems. They have worked with installing flyscreens and security screens on uPVC windows and doors and have done excellent work.

I had a security screen door and 6 window screens installed in November 2011.I informed the man who gave me the quote that I was having the old screens replaced because they did not fit the windows snugly and bugs were able to get through them. The screens that have been installed have gaps of a centimetre around them that even large flies are able to get past. At some stage during the year one of the screens blew out of the window. I had someone come to look at it and was informed that it was completely the wrong size for the window. This has since been replaced. When I pointed out the poor fit of the screens I was told that because they were old window frames that new screens were never going to fit properly. Firstly, if this was the case then why was I not told this when I explained why I was getting new windows. Secondly, the frames of the windows are aluminium. I am surprised that these warp with age. The screens, now three years later are a terrible fit, have warped within the window frames, and facilitate bugs' entry into my home.The screen door has been an ongoing problem that has required a number of follow up visits. It was manufactured badly so that it scrapped when it opened. This manifested over time. I pointed this out to someone from Argus and was met with a shrug. After several more visits and having the door removed to be fixed it has now been installed upside down. I have had to have someone come back and cover exposed screws and adjust the door as it wasn’t closing properly. The key to the door was returned crooked. Most times when there was drilling required no one cleaned up the mess of sharp metal left around the doorway.I am very disappointed at the time and money I have wasted because of the poor workmanship and customer service.I provided these comments to Argus by email in 2012 after they seemed unable to ever return my phone calls. I have never had a response.

We initially hired Argus to install aluminium slat fencing. The communication prior to and throughout the job was outstanding. The finished product was excellent - so much so, we rehired them to fit and install an Invisigard security good. Again, the job performed was excellent and we had zero issues or concerns. We will rehire Argus for our next lot of security doors without hesitation.

We contacted Argus about doing our solid colorbond and slatted fencing.Albert came round really quickly and took some measurements, he got back to us fairly quick with what was a very competitive quote compared to others we had quote us.There was a little hold up on the installation as one of his workers had broken his ankle but once installation began it was carried out quickly and professionally and the end product was a neat and tidy finish, they also installed our gate.We got Argus back a couple of months later to install a metal flyscreen with built in doggy door and again this was quoted and installed very quickly and looks great. Definitely give Albert a call.
