Pegasus Motor Inn & Serviced Apartments

I spent 4 nights at the Pegasus. It has an unmanned reception and although there is a phone line and email contact, getting a response took me more than 20 minutes on one occasion. Staff were efficient and friendly but I am NOT in favour of unmanned reception because if you have an issue and you don't have good mobile phone you are in trouble. The Hotel is aged but well maintained. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable but quite overpriced in my opinion. The restaurant is quaint and the menu limited but Darren served up a delicious fish and chips and a good steak and salad. Beer and wine are available. It has limited hours -see the website. There are however a few cafes and restaurants in the area and a Take-away opposite. I recommend Walts Cafe on Oxford street for breakfast. The taxi call at the front works well and on each occasion one showed up in 5 to 10 minutes.

unmanned reception. no text received prior to arrival(booked and paid for in full with email stating completed approx 4hrs prior to arrival). no staff on site at all even though receptionist on call said property was manned 24/7. had to give card details again then received a text to access. accessed room. well! burn from cigarette in carpet, stain on lounge, BOTH bed lamps not working, bedside table on one side broken and blocking access to power socket, marks on sheet, bathroom had small amount of rubbish on floor, air conditioner not working and cooling room down properly and looked quite dirty, no extra towels (only 2 provided). so I videoed the damages and took photos. received text message at 802am the next morning with access info. rang reception at 820am to request someone to come to room regarding the issues, haha, noone there. eventually got through to manager, nice lady over phone. explained the issues and damages. manager said they working yesterday, but they werent working whilst we were there! no one there to inspect the room. advised her that I will not accept any charges for damage.I WOULD NOT recommend this place. I will NEVER stay here again. the only reason they get a 1/5 review was bed was reasonably comfortable (or we were very tired).

Spend the extra $100 at the Novatel up the road, Pegasus Motor inn is horrible, I don't like writing bad reviews, but due to lack of a well deserved refund, here I am....Reasons not to stay: Room is run down, Smells like cigarettes, barely clean, the room door doesn't close properly nor does the baloney door, the Dinner is 2 meters from the bedroom door (Loud AF)... I can't stress this enough, DON'T STAY THERE... oh and regarding staff, I don't believe they're any there.

Room was nice. But the service is unbelievably unbearable. There is no reception, it’s all self check in which seems fair enough but the process is painful. You have to call a number which is clearly overseas somewhere and it’s a horrible experience and painful. Instantly went from a nice place to us wanting a refund and going else where. I will never stay in this chain of hotels again for this reason. What ever happened to talking to a person IN PERSON! Horrible experience and would suggest to anyone wanting to staying here to just find a place that has an actual reception to check in. Also found out that we were overcharged by $35 for the room which they refused to refund because it’s through a 3rd party they THEY engage, not us. Horrible service.

Wouldn't stay again. NO LIFTS! My 80yr old mother n step father had to WALK up 2 flights of stairs! Rang reception to see if we could change to a ground floor room n was told it was booked out. Absolutely no reception people. Room was ok for what we needed(1 night) thankgod, restaurant doesn't open Friday Saturday or Sunday nights. Take Away across the road is shut down, so 3-4 block walk to find something to eat. The price was good, but u truely get what you pay for here.

Very run down,lots of things in need of repair,if you want a window open you get very little privacy as people have to walk right past your window, not manned saw a delivery driver having problems delivering a package to the hotel as no one was there and blocked us in from leaving ,says heated spa? Might of been broken, sauna door was broken and wouldn’t stay shut and the floor felt like it was about to give, room had no basic cutlery (2spoons for coffee) or plates or bowls and finally no house cleaning has been in the room for the multiple days we have been here

We spent time in the apartments side, could NOT recommend it!The rooms are very run down and dated. The rubbish bin in the kitchen was full when we arrived.The kitchen facilities are very limited with old broken lights and cracked switches. The crockery is all miss matched and only 2 forks.The dishwasher cutlery container had food items in the bottom and the cupboard where the toaster is kept was full on toast crumbs.The shower was so low I would have to wash my hair on my knees.I'm 52 and I've never seen a A/C remote like this, it looks like it needs to be in a museum.The bedding and towels were clean but the mattress needs to be binned! It seems like if you sit on the bed you almost end up on the floor....terrible sleep.The staff I've seen are helpful and very pleasant. Booking and communication was easy, quick and very clear.Unfortunately for $200 per night, it's a definite NO from me.

The room was a twin room share (2 x double beds) 4 - 2 people.PROs:- Great Location.CONs:- Online check In, had some issues checking in and the motel does not have any onsite staff.- NO RECEPTION STAFF ON SITE, and the help line provided was a English second language speaking person and was unable to help.- TV remote had no batteries,- the TV was placed on the built-in desk and could not be seen from both beds.- No bed side reading lights and poor bed placement.- No Soaps or toiletries provided.- A Small Round Table and 3 chairs were provided eventhough the it was a 4 person room.- Aircom was Very Very old and noisy, Remote was held together with sticky tape.- Light above Desk hanging off the wall...All and all, the stay was OK but service was poor and room was clean. Room was run down and a miss match of furniture and poor been configuration. The TV was unusable and very out dated. Would not stay here again.

Would not stay here again, too much hassle to gain access, especially when we were given the wrong code (forgot to say X before the number). Breakfast was included but we had to pay for it. Everything is done on line or phone, no contact with a real person. 0ur friends agree. Very impersonal.
