I bicycled a half an hour to get here because Google reviews says they were open till 5 PM.Three people are in the store and they refuse to open the door. It is 2 pm! I wish they would just keep up their Google page!! I would not have biked here if I knew they had limited hours during post Boxing Day week. They simply posted it on their window…so only known to those who had previously been here..not considerate to first time visitors.——-That is what I wrote 2 weeks ago. Now that I have returned I get it. This place is the real deal, fantastic friendly employees…huge variety of incredible pastries. This morning I experimented with a spelt fruit bun…it rivals the BEST of the white flour hot cross buns.Their decal long black was strong and flavorful..(a rare treat for decaf)And look at the photos! The community vibe is in every corner of the store, including a well stocked Toy section for kiddies which politely requests parents to leave it tidy.I love this place. I’ll def be back to try their cooked food and yummy looking prepared sandwiches ( which look fantastic!)

Absolutely brilliant cafe in a quaint little street. Chanced upon it from all the great reviews. Best iced long black for a sunny day and the chocolate almond croissant is to die for.

Gave me the wrong pie - heads up, not a great move giving a vego a chicken pie - my gf did say it was ok though. The quiche I ordered they absolutely mangled when they heated it up. Quiche was far too salty, and basically was mush on the inside.Edit: Response to below - it was take away, not going to do a round trip to your shop to return a half eaten pie after I'm already home. You're in the food industry where people have genuine allergies (not just a vego mishap like what happened here) - accidents in this space can have serious consequences.

February makes the best coffees on the eastern suburbs and everyone who works here is consistently kind, friendly and warm just like the almond croissants they serve up. So grateful this place exists and to be around the corner from my home.

Bacon and egg roll was good. Chocolate almond croissant was terrible, tasted old and more of an almond cake. Not flakey like a good croissant should be

The sausage rolls and pies are so dry and barely have any filling. There bread is good but that's pretty much it.
