V.I.P. Driving School

My first instructor (manual, Peter) was great, had a calm vibe and was relaxed. I decided that I would rather learn automatic first.For automatic I switched instructors (I won't name), my second instructor was awful. Consistently late and always finished the lesson early, would yank the steering wheel away. On my final lesson with him he was texting on his phone for the drive, which I checked is illegal.I was given a free lesson with another instructor (Edward),which was wonderful. He was very calm and relaxed.

Very bad experience with this driving school today, the new owner contacted with me about my driving lessons, then I have booked 2 hours with the instructor Edward under the owners suggestion, after I arrived at the driving school,the staff in the office immediately tell me a new instructor would instruct my lessons without any confirmation with me prior.I have taken one hour to travel there in a raining day,and particularly I will have assessment next day.Wish transport tas and consumer affairs department will do sth about it. Our rights are violated badly.

I went to VIP a couple of months back to refresh on my road-skills. Moved from mainland and haven't driven in a long time, so was a little conscious & cautious. Mohsin is perhaps the most honest, encouraging and supportive trainer. He gave me the confidence to get back driving with ease. Very recently I was purchasing a car and I called him, he remembered me and guided me on what all to consider and how to go about the paperwork for the car transfer. I would definitely recommend VIP and Mohsin! Kudos to the good work you guys are doing!

5 stars just not enough to rate the service I was provided by V.I.P Driving School! I first contacted them to prepare for my Ps and ended up taking Keys2drive and PlatsPlus driving lessons through them. Mohsin is such a patient, dedicated, thorough and passionate instructor who CARES about your safety as a top priority. Being a P1 assessor, he would be very honest with the feedbacks you need, clearly gauging the readiness as a P1 driver - if you are ready for the test, he will tell you, and if not, he will recommend taking more lessons or practise driving. He also recommended me to go for lessons with another instructor Pam to maximise my driving experience which was lovely, as she guided small details to become a safe driver. Overall, I was very happy that I made a right decision by learning to drive with V.I.P Driving School.

Two lessons were enough to help me pass in my first practical exam attempt. I highly recommend VIP for those who are wishing to convert their overseas license.

Awesome experience, Mohsin was a great teacher, couldn't have got my Ps without his help.

Moshin is an great instructor and examiner. The class booking is simply made with a phone call or text messages. They even have weekend classes and exams!

Highly recommended, Probably the best driving school in Hobart.I had my driving lesson, Instructor was really good in his job, i was so comfortable driving with his, he worked on my weak points and make my driving so easy and safe. I booked my Test with Gentle man Mr. Mohsin, i was so nervous, he build my my confidence level and motivated me to drive during my test. He was very professional and one of honest person i have seen in long time. i feel lucky to be VIP driving school.

Avoid this company, particularly if you are female. I am writing this public review as I had an unpleasant experience with a male instructor who was totally inappropriate and made me feel very uncomfortable. Some of the comments made during the lesson included asking me if I had a boyfriend, if I had any good-looking friends, telling me about a student he had slept with and sharing other details about his personal life during the lesson. This is highly dodgy grooming behaviour, unprofessional in the extreme, and technically harassment. I raised the behaviour with the manager and the complaint was not taken seriously. This left me worried about the safety of other women having lessons with this instructor. Go elsewhere.
