Fairfield Amphitheatre

I do appreciate how the council has put an amphitheatre here, very reminiscent of the times of old. A nice spot for some performances around the Yarra and Merri Creek.

A bluestone amphitheatre with 10 levels. Good for watching or being watched.Definitely an experience to stand in the middle of the stage and hear your voce projected back at you.

Might be a little small, however has great access via steps. No access via ramps.

Great performance space if the weather is good.

Fantastic place to enjoy a walk with your pooch on a lead or with friends or strolling by yourself plenty of free parking surrounded by the Yarra bend bush The Boat House is a charming eatery famous for delicious scones and tea with gardens to sit and watch the river life and canoes go by or simply enjoy the amphitheatre surrounding sounds of peacefulness to calm the mindset you could also do a circular walk to Studdley park find the flying fox lookout near Bellbird picnic area Kane's suspension bridge looks above the amphitheatre the bushland circuit trail with the Dights falls and merry creek labyrinth and wishing tree created by residents 2001 to 2002 ancient origins rests on Wurundjeri Land for everyone a day of walking very worth the effort

Great place for music - Sundays in February. Good walking - great Historic boathouse nearby for snacks/meals/rowing. BBQ onsite. Recommended.
