I have a couple of Markilux blinds that have been great over the last ten years. For one of them it needs a new canvas as it has torn at the extension bar - maybe it’s a design fault because my other type of Markilux has no tears. A few months ago I contacted Markilux to get a repair quote, I contacted them again after I didn’t get a price and again I’m waiting for a quote while but I cannot use my blind.

We have a Markilux awning installed in October 2017 and it has stopped working 3 months outside of the 5 year warranty period. I am advised by the installer the motor needs to be replaced at a cost of $2500. It’s very sad that Markilux have washed their hands of any responsibility despite the fact that the product has had very little use. They trade on a reputation of German quality which in my view is very much in doubt.
