Kennett River Nature Walk

Quite surprise to see the koala at the entrance of the park. We spent so much time to film the cuties and then went to a wrong way to search for more koala and birds. We lucky to see koala and bird around there..

Nice place to go hiking. You can ealk along the river approximately 1 or 2 km, then come back. If you are lucky you can possibly see koalas. There are some fallen trees, you may need to jump over. I recommend waterproof shoes and jacket if its raining, it gets too muddy.

A good place to spot koalas, hidden away on tree tops. Dusk or dawn would be the right time to spot koala’s, kangaroo’s and wallaby’s if you’re lucky!

We came across the Kennett River Nature Walk which is next to Kafe Koala & General Store.There was signage displaying different aspects of the wildlife, land and water along the nature walk.There is a fishing platform and picnic area including tables at the start of the walk only.We took our pet dog with us on the leash.The walk takes you along the river with posted signs describing particular areas.We saw Kangaroos along the river resting.The terrain was mainly flat. The grass was cut. There is a path that does run along the river, but it does stop.We had completed the walk in about 50 minutes, which was up and back.It was a peaceful walk with other people also on the trail.Recommended to wear closed shoes.

Saw 2x koalas sleeping, they were cute. Informative little signs. Good toilets.

We walked until we saw the Koala high above the tree so high… the walk can lead deeper into the forest area with amazing flora and wild life…

A lovely walk right off the main highway. We were lucky enough to spot two koalas.

We passed through the spot on our great ocean drive. We saw a couple of koalas high up on trees but no kangaroos. A lot of very friendly parrots

It's not a walk in the great tradition of Otway walks, more like golf without the game. Lush grass next to the Kennett river and signs giving information about local fauna. I only went on the 400m walk. Not recommended.
