Took a Samsonite bag in under warranty that had a slight issue with the zip from the start but you could zip past it. It slowly got worse until it got stuck and unable to be closed while on a trip. Was incredibly told it was damage and not a fault (which it was from the start but was workable initially). How do you damage a working zip anyway? (it's not even a zip that would ever be under pressure). Then my partner brought it in for a broken tag, he told her he would fix it even though it wasn't under warranty"

This is a great place for repairs to shoulder bags. Excellent friendly service, great people to deal with. To date I have not had a bag they couldn't repair. I highly recommend The Luggage Place for sales, service and repairs. Wishing them continued success. Regards from Wendy.

Very recently had a travel case repaired following the lock and zipper pulls being completely wiped out by baggage handlers at the airport. The bag is a unique size and has sentimental value as a gift from a parent so was delighted when the Luggage Place team could bring it back to new! Recommended!

The lady that initially helped me was fantastic. Very calming, articulate with super fantastic people skills. The man that was in the store, that also does the repairs should not be on the floor. Total butcher job on my case and rude as f#%k.He has an extremely bad attitude, the customer is always wrong type feel. A not my fault kinda guy and found him to be extremely curt.I left with a very bitter taste and not happy at all. They repaired a zipper that I was not even sure was damaged on the zipper. Now there is a gaping hole in my zipper that looks mangled and my finger goes right through. Stitching on the inside wasn’t even done. It is loose material that isn’t even stitched.I feel it was a slap job, no care, screw it this will do. Not worthy of a samsonite repair place. My $400 suitcase is ruined & I would never come back here.If I “had” to go to this business, it would be to purchase not to repair, maybe…..you now I wouldn’t, I’d find somewhere else.

Much larger range than any dept.store in Adelaide. Extremely knowledgeable about their stock. They let you spend time looking (and lifting) instead of following you about trying to make a sale. Would definitely recommend. Very close to the city.

There are not many places in Adelaide to get your suitcase fixed. This was my experience.I had an dark grey Antler Suitcase with a broken top handle. I hesitantly took it there, even after reading some very negative reviews. I expected a high price and rude service. What I got was a professional service, albeit, not particularly friendly. But it wasn't bad per se. I was given a quote of $25-30 + GST to repair my suitcase. I was pleased with this and proceeded. I was told it would take 6-7 days to get it back.I had an email the following day saying it was ready and the cost was $35 + 10% GST.A couple of days later I went in and collected it. I was told at that point that they could not get the correct colour replacement handle. This was a light grey and did not match at all.I told them I was quoted $25-30 and the price was $35. They initially tried to argue that the quote would have been $25-35, but I refuted this. The service lady immediately checked with the person who initially served me and she didn't think what I said was right, however they agreed immediately that they would charge me $25 plus GST. I told them, I was happy with $30 +GST and that was fair (which they were happy to accept after making sure I was okay with this).Looking at the handle close up, I am not sure if the handle replacement was new (??) because it has nicks in it (see photo). But it doesn't particularly worry me as my bag has been through a few airports. But it does look a bit old considering it should be brand new.So, my experience, summed up is:1) They agreed to 'fix' the price based on my account of the conversation. Well done and thank you.2) They had my email address and had the case fixed well before the date suggested. Great service.3) They should have asked me via email or phone whether I was happy with a different colour handle. If I wasn't happy with the result, I would have been extremely unhappy later, having had it fixed without my permission.4) They were professional and 'tried' to be happy and helpful, although it doesn't actually come across that way. Maybe it's a culture of the business; I don't know.Overall I am pleased with my experience at the Luggage Place, however I really do believe communication needs to be improved. From the time I entered to the time I left, it was only the communication that lacked. I don't think it was a lack of effort because I think they really try. There are trainers in retail communication that they should consider hiring for a session or 2. It would get rid of most of those negative stars and leave people much happier for return business.I would definitely come back. Still not sure about the possible second handle though.

This company had sold my partner and I two very light carry on bags, several years ago. They are running just fine, very happy with our purchase. Our daughter visited from Canberra. Wants a piece of luggage the same as ours. Emailed the Luggage place, got a reply that they were closed. I followed up since it seemed that areal person had replied. Yes it was! A very helpful lady gave some advice even though on holidays. Wished us a merry Christmas. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for good luggage. Bronte
