The meal looked great! However, it tasted terrible. The salad was very disappointing with no taste to it and the coke was flat, very disappointing day out. And to think we travelled for this. It's just worth 1 star.

EDIT: This had originally been a one star review after dining here on the Monday night - see review below. However we returned for dinner on the Friday for a very different experience. Staff were warm and went above and beyond to ensure we had a good experience. Meals were solid pub food, my steak was perfectly cooked but the stand out was the community atmosphere and warmth. A highly positive second visit and would definitely return again!Original post: We had high hopes for tonight as we had been told the pub was a great spot - they’d obviously changed management since then. We provided feedback about not advising us if the below but it fell on deaf ears.First - half the menu was unavailableSecond - kids menu was meant to come with chips and ice cream - kids got NO chips and NO ice cream. We weren’t told so had devastated children after telling they were getting ice cream.Third- our children’s bolognese sauce had obviously been burnt then scraped off the pot in the hope it could be salvaged which it could not (former chef here so I know burnt bolognese when I taste it)Fourth - AND MOST IMPORTANTLY - when feedback was provided back to the counter server in the bistro he couldn’t have given a sh*t and was actively rude and condescending to my husband, showing his lack of interest in our dissatisfactionThe only saving grace was the front bar staff member who obviously had a high degree of customer service experience and was lovely to deal with. Serious shame that hadn’t rubbed off on the other staff.

Reason for 1 star on location is its in the middle of nowhere and that's why I went there if it were close by and convenient it wouldn't have been a holiday ,located on the Glenelg River with in walking distance to the ocean/beach the local pub is the heart of the town with the local store being across the road for all you fishing and snack needs ,bar staff are fun and great to get along with customer service is top notch , food and dining is great with access to a salad bar, meals are sizeable and well prepared. New years Day Entertainment was a semi acoustic show by the The GoSet

Great little country pub. Friendly and welcoming staff, good food and cold beer. Will highly recommend.

Meals were good pub food at reasonable pricing. Excellent bistro and Bar service.

Best chicken schnitzel I've ever had in my entire life. Truly a worthy pilgrimage for the lovers of a good feed. Plenty of great atmosphere too. Friendly people. Amazing!
