at Waterfront Whitsunday Retreat - Airlie Beach Accommodation

The photos that are on the website are completely outdated and not accurate at all. The master bedrooms cupboard is ply wood, milk crates and a metal bar all slapped together. There is dust everywhere and what looks like years of dust build up on the fans and lights. The bathroom stinks after two uses from the water unable to leave the rocky floor. The spa needs a degree in IT to figure out how to use as it is way too complicated and most of the buttons don't respond to the inputs that you give (including those on the instructional sign). There are many other small flaws in the penthouse that ultimately build up to a disappointing experiance like not haveing and cubords to store folded cloths. This place would have been an easy 4-5 stars when it first started and everything was new, but the upkeep has been horriable and lack of management has really been its biggest flaw. The really sad part is that it would only need a day or two of hard work and a few storage upgrades and nearly every issue would be fixed. Ultimately it would have been an amazing place to stay if it was even partly what it was like in the photo's. For the price paid for a pent house it is not worth it

Booked via Air BNB and picked the location due to proximity to the Hamilton Island ferry, which is literally opposite.Short walk into town, where there's lots of food and bars to choose from. We enjoyed dinner at La Marina restaurant which is opposite to the ferry terminal, all easy walk even when we had the suitcases.

Great little resort! Not too many rooms so nice and quiet and it is an adult only resort so no children! Our room was beautifully presented and had a spa bath on the balcony with great views over the harbour! Members if staff were very helpful and polite. Cannot wait to return!

An amazing place to stay. Not a long walk away from the main strip of Airline with a decent view. Would definitely recommend

I don't think I've stayed in a worse place. The manager Robyn just complained about everything, your staff are not my problem. Filthy, poor communication, reluctant to assist. No room service and had to ask for new towels, dirty ashtrays left on balcony from prior guests.

What a beautiful place.So close to everything.Great views.Very clean.Would recommend to friends.The only thing we did have a laugh at the shape of the pool.

Fantastic location. Newly renovated apartment #5. Easy walk to town and cruise terminal.Comfy bed. Would definitely stay again.

What an absolute pleasure. THANK YOU to the wonderful owner who genuinely saved our entire weekend. After receiving atrocious care elsewhere, we were saved by this wonderful woman and this retreat. The rooms were enormous and clean with literally everything you could want and more. The penthouse was gorgeous with a spa that we could have languished in all weekend and the location is absolutely perfect. We cannot thank the owner enough for her brilliant customer service and quick response. It's beautiful, it's central and it's welcoming!

Drove all the way from the Gold Coast to Airlie beach and got there at lunch time (12) reception wasn’t open even though it says it suppose to be.. tried to call the numbers provided but none of them worked or the one That did work went to voicemail and didn’t ring. There was a lady who eventually came over and she wasn’t welcoming at all , got a really bad vibe off this place and all we wanted to do was relax in our room after a big drive. Place was very out dated nothing like the pictures at all.
