Omg this place was so lovely, and the food so delicious AND beautiful. The waiters and hosts have their own look here hahaha it was funWe loved their hash browns with mushrooms (koo koo cha ka?), and their red velvet cake. We were satisfied with the coffee. I'd definitely come back here if I weren't leaving Australia tomorrow!The vibe of this place is pretty energetic with their electric blue outdoor seating. The insides are warm and cozy.Overall, great brunch experience.I liked it so much that I regret giving five stars to other places because they can't measure up to this place.This is the kind of experience I'm looking for when I go for brunch, something I can't recreate at home or on my own. :)

This place is cool AF and the dishes are tasty and creative. Staff are all super friendly despite how hip they are - and they all wear jump suits which is pretty fun! I will say, like a few Melbourne places, they have well and truly broken through the $30 breakfast dish barrier, and I think that makes it more of a special occasion than a weekly brunch spot.

Drawn to visit St Ali to sample the source of the beans I enjoy regularly at my local in Adelaide (Seven Grounds). This converted warehouse has over 19 years continued to expand, due to its great success in roasting.I had the St Ali granola, and with the combination of elements, I can happily report that it is the best I've ever had! My partner enjoyed the My Mexican Cousin dish and found it bursting with flavour and freshness.Staff wear their embossed overalls and are notably attentive. Our HOST was brilliant and is an absolute professional; he gave a brief history of St Ali and the building. We even got some St Ali pins to gift to my favourite barista.On this day the house blend coffee we had was a little on the weak side. The coffee was expertly made, but just not the strong, rich flavour I had hoped for. I'll try a different option next time.

Waygu burger was super salty (and tough) and the hotcake was very average... Coffee and juice were also meh.... Definitely not worth $85... For this price there are heaps better options around South Melbourne ...Fairly disappointed...

Coffee quality and options 11/10. Even the decaf is great. The menu changes but the Crumpet Meze I had today with house made taramasalata was perfectly salty, fishy and fluffy without being too intense.

What a treat, attentive and welcoming service. Plenty of options on the menu and even though there's a busy ambience it's not overwhelming noise. Chilli Scrambled Eggs were great and the Eggs Benedict and Braised pork were great. We stayed for a second round of coffee and enjoyed our Sunday morning Breakfast.

The waiter sat us down at the corner of the cafe, facing the windows. The sun was glaring and was uncomfortable to eat facing the sun, we asked the waiter if it was possible to move us to the table behind us before making our order and he just rolled his eyes at us and said he will check. He did not come back with an answer and the food came, we asked him again if it is possible to move our seats to the table behind us and still maintained it was unavailable. The seats were clearly vacant the whole time we were there. We finished our food and found out there were many available seats without the glaring sun but the waiter did not move us. The waiter also placed the food touching the stained curtain. The food and coffee were average, would not come back again even though it is just a 5 mins walk from us.Edit: I would like to thank the owner for the opportunity to redeem themselves with a great experience at ST. Ali. We got placed at a great table location and manager Dayne was very accommodating. We ordered the eggs Benedict and mushroom risotto, both were delicious. Finally, we ended the meal with the almond financials, which was freshly baked, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was perfect.

Went to St Ali after seeming it on YouTube. Very busy but still seats left and the waiters are very friendly. Only had a Flat White but it was very nice. Pretty good coffee! All the food around me looks amazing. Next time will come back with family and have Brunch here.

Great coffee, and a very satisfying breakfast experience! Portions were extremely generous and more importantly, yum. The coffee was unsurprising good and staff attentive. Great vibe and surroundings. Highly recommended.

Very cozy and hip place with their iconic blue tent and the tunes. We showed up after our South Melbourne Market spree and too full for a meal so we just had some coffee. Their coffee was fantastic as expected. They got a wide range of menu, beans, merch and friendly faces.We regret not having brunch there though will definitely come again. I would recommend to make reservation for the better table location.
