If your let alone privileged to camp on Moreton Island you absolutely have to wet the whistle at the world famous Gutter Bar,unbelievable fresh seafood platters,fresh burgers and of course cold beers. Addictive place and matching music,a must do.

Had a couple of xxxx Gold's and a steak burger for lunch. Back in the boat and caught a feed of Whiting on the way home. Top stop. Look out for the low tides!

What an incredible place. Such a great atmosphere and highly recommended as a great place to eat. You'll need a 4wd to get there, but it's totally worth it!

A highlight of Moreton, the laid back atmosphere is just what you’re seeking on the island. Beautiful seafood basket, great pit stop for a beverage.

The venue was packed a couple days after new year's, line out the door to order food. Still we only waited half an hour for yummy fish and there was never a line for drinks. Fun and well run bar.

Really fun adventure getting here and it was worth it to have a cold beer and sea food after five days camping in the bush. Staff were friendly and welcoming. I ordered the platter but was disappointed everything was covered in batter and a bit greasy, was hoping for fresh seafood but I suppose it is pub grub after all.

I almost don’t want to rate it too highly or else everyone will find out about this great little spot. Beers are icy cold the burgers are honest to goodness unpretentious fresh and tasty. The fitout is exactly what you want on an island to make you feel like you are away from it all. Tough to get to. Make sure you aim to drive back at around low tide. Make sure you check your route on a map if you are coming by boat. Plenty of sandbars to get stuck on. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

I had a fantastic time at the Gutter Bar, the service was exceptional, the seafood was delicious and fresh. Definitely worth the drive down to Kooringal. Thank you for the hospitality.
