Earlier this year we engaged Mitch from Bayside Quality Furniture Restorations to refurbish a number of pieces of furniture for us. Included was a beautiful old Chiffonier with bevelled mirror, a Lead Light Cabinet and a full height Cedar Bookcase. All pieces were restored beyond our expectations and now are beautiful features in our renovated home. They also recovered and restored two lounge suites which look better than new. A small timber side table has revealed grain which was not previously evident. Mitch and Scottie were a pleasure to deal with and attended to all our requests promptly. We would recommend this firm to anyone seeking quality work at a reasonable price.

I engaged Mitch to reupholster and restore 4 Chiswell dining chairs and 2 matching Chiswell carvers that were my Grandmothers and have been in the family for 50+ years. Mitch was extremely communicative and explained the processes fully in relation to the quoted time frames. Was quoted 6 weeks and had the chairs back within about 3 weeks. My Grandmother saw the chairs when I brought them home and thought that they looked just as great as when she originally bought them. Thanks so much guys, and cannot recommend them enough.

Had my cot and change table restored by this company. I cannot speak highly enough of the excellent service and how they went out of their way with providing advice and colour charts to ensure the best results.The service was extremely quick and I was given a time frame of 6 weeks and it was completed and delivered to my home in immaculate condition after two weeks. Very prompt service and exceptionally friendly with great interpersonal skills.Thanks again, VERY happy!!!

Delivered two chairs for upholstering in April; one balloon back and one arm chair. Collected the balloon back about 6 weeks later and the chair was scratched and had to be touched up. The armchair is still not ready (now July). The fabric I chose for the armchair was supposedly in stock but when they started to re-upholster the chair they found they did not have enough fabric. They suggested I use two different fabrics. Appalling! Chose new fabric and was assured it would be ready for 3rd or 4th of July. Alas, it is not going to be ready. Did not appreciate being bullied by the owner and owner's wife. Have had lots of items re-upholstered previously with different companies and have never had any issues whatsoever. Chose this company as it was close to my new home. Big mistake.

Purchased a living and dining room package through Gavin. Three items were delivered earlier than expected and at a great price. Great customer service. Will definitely come back

Had two kitchen benches custom made by this buisiness .quoted approx 6 weeks but took 5 months.they were not the height requested or the solid timber requested instead is 50% plywood the slab top was not the thickness requested , the top with the pre fitted sink was not cut correctly to fit the sink mounting hardware and I had to rework them myself and the base was not made with the requested removable panel to allow for plumbing .the unit now has several unsealed areas where alterations were required and large holes around plumbing entry point . Could not recommend them!

Our antique chair was restored. High quality workmanship. A really good job.
