Goldners Horse Transport (J.G. Goldner Pty Ltd)

We transported a much loved horse of our family from NSW to SA in February. We had never transported before and trusted Goldners being a well known company.Our gelding arrived very stressed and anxious along with a raw hind end after scouring for what appears to be the whole trip.We were not notified or contacted about any issues, not contacted to inform of scouring, not contacted to inform of his anxiety or anything else.He arrived in Adelaide on Friday and he was put to sleep the following night after trying desperately to save him all day with medication, intravenous drips, and a vet by his side.After contacting Goldners and speaking with their CEO (who would only interact via a phone, and refused to use email, I’m assuming so there is no record of the interaction or what was said) she assured me that my gelding had no issues and she promised to show me footage of him on the truck and AT THE VERY LEAST show me him loading to show he was not stressed or anxious.This footage all of a sudden become unavailable..... After committing to show me the footage, she then said it’s not available any more, and didn’t even explained what happened to that footage.Goldners had a duty of care to inform me of any issues that my gelding was experiencing.They treated him as a number. Not a beloved companion. They have refused compensation for the lack of responsibility that they have taken on this matter. After this incident, many people in the horse world have come forward to me about their horrific experiences with this company too - so my incident is not isolated, and it looks like this happens often - with no emails, and no video footage, everyone continues to think of Goldners as “the best” when that’s certainly not the case. They’re just the most expensive - that doesn’t make them the best.I have since transported a mare through a different company from the same location in NSW to SA and had consistent updates along the trip - they sent SMS messages and pictures and I also spoke to them over the phone - that’s perfect!My gelding was CLEARLY unwell and I trusted the “professionals” to ensure his same arrival with complete failure on their behalf.If you love your horse - steer clear of this mob.

130 per horse plus gst... did I mention they are paddock horses not in race work anymore.. this is why people don't take on otts much anymore... I had it done for 360 all up .. massive difference

Well done to Charles and Craig, I would recommend Goldners as a first call for your interstate horse transport service!The big difference is the way the drivers are trained and experience, unlike many other horse transport services in Sydney and the Hunter. They do a great job, and the trucks are always well presented. Great work Goldners!

Goldners transported my gelding from Brisbane to Melbourne. My horse arrived in great condition and Goldners kept me up to date every step of the way. Nicole was amazing and understood how important my little man is to me and had more than enough time to talk me through each step of the process. I will be forever grateful to Goldners for making our relocation a positive experience!

Your drivers need training! Witnessed today (20/5/23 at approx. 10:30am in Coffs Harbour near Bunnings southbound) one of your drivers caused a small black hatchback too nearly run off the road as the driver cut in front of him with no regard for safety whatsoever, he then preceded to swerve in and out of traffic recklessly as he continued to drive. Absolute no regard for safety. The rego was JGG 277 (I hope I memorised it correctly) driver looked to be around 60, short, bald and a very angry expression on his face. I believe it was a horse transport truck, I certainly would not be letting him transport my horses (if I had any) around that’s for sure.

Very easy to deal with when getting horses transported around the country. Craig and the team are super efficient and who doesn't love those amazing green trucks! Well done guys. Keep up the great work, definitely the best horse transport company in the industry :)

These people drive their trucks like they are out to kill other road users and the horses they carry. Tailgating, flashing their lights, speeding, general erratic behaviour of someone with some serious issues that should not be driving a truck. Let alone one carrying horses on behalf of others.Northbound, New England highway around 8pm on 28/04/2023. No, I won't call your office to help your investigation. You would know who was driving. From what I can read this isn't an isolated incident.

Driving like a maniac. Overtaking in a left lane that is ending in peak hour traffic then heavy braking. Driver must be out of his/her mind. Wouldn’t let these people transport bubble wrap let alone horses. You literally have one job - drive safely from A to B smh.
