Being new to the area I wanted to find a good butcher. Well I’ve hit the jackpot! The meat is the best I’ve ever had, from the steak to the silverside and even their pork and chicken. Service is friendly and they’re knowledgeable of their products and those they stock from partners (eggs, etc). Next I’m looking forward to trying the wines. Can’t wait!

We have only lived in Highett for a year now but the guys at Piero’s have made us feel at home. Their range of the most tender incredible meats is mind blowing and well worth a visit. Today I also picked up 2 of my very old and dull chefs knives which they sharpened for me over night at a very cheap price. These knives will now go from hardly being used to my favorite to use.Thanks guys.

When I moved to Highett, my dinner guests praised the sudden huge improvement in my culinary skills. But I did not accidentally become a gourmet cook by design. The only change has been the source of my meats, which in the past year have been from Piero's Meat Merchant. Upon entering the store, you will see the most impressive food display around. The friendly and attentive butchers are always happy to suggest a fresh dinner idea. I have tried most items in the shop, from tender well-aged steak to the many varieties of prize-winning gourmet sausages, and every single meal has been a success. Simply, the best butcher shop I have found, with a great range of top quality meats, that make your home-cooked meals a true gourmet delight.

They always supply meat and small goods of the highest quality. I've been buying produce from here for two years, and the service is outstanding. Knowledgeable staff who are always willing to assist and offer advice. A rare jewel in the bayside area. Highly recommended.

They have quality meat. It is delicious. We are cooking a spit roast and they were delighted to help us. They gave us tips on how to cook it best. They have very kind staff who are always up for a chat. They even gave us some extra meat! I highly recommend and I will be going back again.

I held a BBQ at my place for Melbourne Cup Day and got all of the meat from Pierre. We had the Honey, Lamb and Rosemary Sausages, (which everyone said were to die for), Burgers, Chicken Drumettes and Chicken Skewers. I also highly recommend the Basil and Cashew Dip. I haven't found anyone yet that doesn't like it. They don't call Pierre the 'Sausage King' for nothing. His meat is simply delicious and was extremely well received amongst my guests. You will pay a little more for it but believe me it is of the highest quality and well worth paying that bit extra. Thanks again Pierre and all your staff for contributing to a smashing day.

Seriously, the best taste and quality for miles. I've never had anything other than delicious, high quality cuts from Piero. The team really do appreciate their customers and will always offer time and friendly cooking advice to ensure you get the most out of your meal. The porterhouse is second to none and works out cheaper than Woolies when you buy a biggish cut. Also, if you want to channel your inner Masterchef, they stock beef cheeks etc you just need to ask.

The best butcher in Melbourne. From the first time walking in a year ago to now after dozens of shops Piero and his team have offered premier service with extremely high quality grass fed meats. If I ever move out of Melbourne I'll be greatly disappointed that I may not find a butcher as great as this again.
