Ballarat Heating Centre

I purchased a Gourmet cooker late last year and in its first season of use the firebox door seal fell out of its rebate. I rang and was told that this wasn't covered under warranty and that I should purchase at my expense some stove cement to stick it back into its place. I rang the manufacture and was told that they use roof and gutter silastic to hold the seal in its place. Roof and gutter silastic as a Temperature resistance – approximately -60°C +150°C, the temperature on the bottom outside of the firebox door measured in excess of 350 deg C that is more then twice the resistance of the silastic used at manufacturing. So it is bad workmanship at its worse and certainly not what I would call customer service. Certainly will not recommend any products from Wise Living / Albury consolidated industries.

We were in urgent need of a woodfire heater as we moved into a miniature home at short notice. We spent the morning driving around Ballarat to all the businesses that sold wood heaters. We returned to Ballarat Heating Centre as they had what we wanted in stock and we got a reasonable price. Aiden and Karen were very helpful. Thanks guys we are now copy and warm.

Purchased a Pacific Energy wood heater from this retailer. Male staff were good to deal with. They recommended a local plumber to do the install. Cost $880.00. Work was very poor. No compliance certificate issued despite numerous phone calls to installer and retailer. Ongoing problems with flue which is unstable and leaning. Installer won’t call back and retailer says it’s not their problem.Buy a heater from this retailer but organise your own plumber.

Terrible after service. The main girl in the office “ K”. was so rude and refused to help. I ended up going to the supplier “Pivot” who had the best customer service. Sorted easily. Ballarat needs some tutoring in customer service.When I first ordered.. “ K” was very accomodating. “K” was nasty and rude when I needed an exchange because of a technical difficulty

A bit disappointed in gas log fire set up. This happened late November early December 2018. The installer placed fire in, but no electricals completed. Live in a country town and finally today 1 April 2019, electrician connected fire up BUT couldn't get flame up to high. Kept going in and out so turned heater off and turned gas off as the smell was awful. Rang Ballarat office, but they say they have NO record of me. What a terrible situation this has turned out to be. The office was going to call back but at close of business no call. I'll keep pestering them until it's fixed even going to consumer affairs if it gets that far.

Karen was great and very informative knows what she's talking about , Colin installed it on time was agreed on very impressed with his knowledge and work , would thoroughly recommend them if your looking to replace an heater or purchasing for the first time, I purchased a regency Gosford, works great

I had a terrible experience with this company from start to finish. I now have a badly leaking fire and the installer is not returning my messages after 5 months of chasing him even though he acknowledged the leak and promised to fix it. I was charged extra call-out fees when he was sent to my house without the correct pieces for installation multiple times even though I tried to clarify that we were all in the same page before he was sent out. I paid for the fire in summer and it wasn’t installed until June after I rang and emailed many times. I was also charged for the removal of my old fire and the installer left me with an open hole in my roof so...now I have to pay someone else to fix it. If you can, go somewhere else!
