Discovery Parks - Onslow

Rooms are amazing. Views are insane. Unfortunately that’s the best of it. Food is very hit and miss, more miss than hit. Can’t get a washing machine for love nor money as half of them have been broken for months and with an influx of people they are so badly prepared it’s disgraceful.Water quite regularly has no pressure or no water at all. Could be a really great place but they don’t maintain anything.

Great park, friendly staff and free ice!!!!We were there when the staff were having BBQ and was lucky enough to score a yummy scotch fillet steak with bacon and onion rings cooked to perfection.Thankyou the Discovery Park team from the scooter girl.

Room is good if you are in Dampier wing.Dinner is generally pretty good, breakfast is alright.But the crib options at lunch time aren't great there's barely anything worth packing for lunch. If they improved the crib options for lunch I would've given it a 4 star.

Have to stay here for long and reception refuse to move me to preferred room. I loved my stay. 5 days for a shut down at Onslow Salt. Nice camp, good premises, amazing staff.The management is helpful and accommodating. Lovely people indeed. Would not leave a man in trouble. Deepest respect there.The food at camp was fresh and tasty. Awesome selection too. I will be damned if I don't mention the chef lady, who is naming herself Braidy.What a sight for sore eyes after hard day at work. Always smiling, always a good word to say to everyone.God bless you woman!One lady to cook the food, dish it out, work at the bar and clean up!Massive respect! Will remember them pork ribs forever!

I was placed here for work, Can't complain about the food Dan the cook does a unreal meal. As for some of the staff quiet rude and go out of there way not to help out after hours. Rooms also rundown and need a good revamp as well as new mattress as they are hard as a rock.

A strange park indeed! Huge sites and immaculate grounds but no atmosphere at all. Located in light industrial area out of town, It seems to be providing accommodation for workers, with big multi-storey buildings that back onto the caravan sites. We chose to stay here as Gday members but left a day early ( only stayed two nights of our three nights). Didn’t know there was a pool until I read previous reviews, so no idea where it is as haven’t seen it on our walks. Had to ask neighbours where amenities are upon arrival, as no one available to check us in although we arrived in office hours. Signage would be helpful. Were sorry we didn’t book into Ocean View in town as it has a fabulous position, lovely views and beach access. Plenty to do around Onslow for our two days.

Stayed here for work. Water pressure in the shower was low, often it sprouted everywhere so every time I had to get it fixed. There’s mould in bathroom ceiling and sometimes in the bedroom. The reception can be quite lazy, forgetting to code your key or often given rooms that Is occupied and you have to head down to reception to get it rectified when it isn’t even your fault. The gym area is not bad but the mould around the aircon is so bad, not very healthy breathing in there while you’re working out. Other than that, the food was just amazing, the area of the pool is clean and the beds were good too. There’s a beach behind the accommodation that you could go to, only walking distance.
