Heysen Trail Monument
It is a little adventure to reach the monument which commemorates the completion of the Heysen Trail. Plaques are affixed to a large rock. It is closest to the road leading to the winery and can be seen from the road. The monument is on the land of the Woodhouse Activity Centre, but as a Heysen Trail walker, you can access the land. To do so, you have to climb over the fence using a 'side stepper', it sounds worse than it is! There are 2 plaques, front and rear, the rear plaque provides a brief history of the Heysen Trail. Unfortunately, I don't know what the rock is.
