Eltham Veterinary Practice

Dr Gus had been the most caring and warm vet that we have ever encountered. Our dogs Radar and Pablo are so important to us, so finding a practice with staff that we trust and fantastic facilities has been such a comfort. Gus always takes the time to answer every question and to patiently explain his findings, he is kind and gentle with the dogs and makes every effort to make each visit a nice experience for them. We are grateful for the wonderful service and could not recommend all at Eltham Veterinary Practice highly enough!

Been going here for 5 years, normally take my malamute koda to Steve. He is very knowledgeable and kind. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.The team are super nice aswell. Great vet!

The vet staff are lovely and professional. You can tell they love animals and are there because they love their job. The place is clean and inviting. I would have given 5 stars except one of the staff on the front desk is a bit of a bully, both to clients and other staff members. It’s a shame, but you go to the vet for good pet care not for friendly receptionists, so they are still well worth using.

I have a little fur baby called Annie I have her groomed there and they look after her extremely well and she is excited to go there. Couldn't recommend them more. She also only has one eye.

Service here really is amazing, having a bulldog as well I was constantly worried about who to let take care of him. Eltham vet came highly recommended and did not disappoint!Staff are very friendly and inviting and really make you feel like your pet really is in good, safe and caring hands. Before booking in for surgery, we had a check up with the surgeon Steve, who really came across as very knowledgeable and I was sold instantly on who I wanted to look after our dog. We had Chelsea look after us and and take us through all the surgery process from start to finish, I’m pretty sure she was training but came across as a professional I would trust to perform the whole surgery. We also had another vet/nurse/surgeon step in named Denise who helped with medication for our bulldog and couldn’t have been more knowledgeable and informative giving us all the advice and after care we needed.We had email and phone call updates, we were even charged less than we were quoted because surgery went so well, but they could have easily just charged the normal price! So trust worthy and honest.Can’t recommend this place enough if you want complete peace of mind that your pet is in the safest hands possibly!⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had an awesome experience today!! Front office team really took the time to make the booking and chat through everything. The vet I saw blew me away though, she was so thorough and never felt like she was watching the clock. She was open and honest and happy to answer my many questions. Thanks guys!!

Changing vets to here now. Very impressed with vet Steve. Very thorough and took a lot of time getting to know our Henry- who is now well again. Fitted me in to tight schedule when multiple other practices just said no go to emergency!" Very busy place but reception ladies are lovely and nothing seems to much trouble. Would recommend."

Wrote a review on why I would never recommend this place now. It was blocked. (Drastic surgery untaken which I never agreed to the level of - 'A little bit of bone' isn't half his upper palette, nasal passage, tear duct, teeth, saw up the middle of his gum!) & to the reply: Claims tried to save $2k but I'd never skimped! then, with other vets & week in emergency it’s $11,500 & my dog died! Should have trusted the female vet on chemo. Only wanted good end of life, not 6wks of hell! help? he was dying & I got 'You can have next available' 4 hours away! Not 5cm dia either but 5cm long. You say osteosarcoma, yet the biopsy vet says fibrosarcoma. why no scan? or a call to ask? There were options!

So impressed. Have a 23yr old galah. Needed her nails clipped, my little girl came home happy , it's her only time at a vet. So happy, great service. Highly recommended.
