Came here for the first time today. Hands down the best salon I’ve been to and I’ve lived in 4 cities.I’ve never seen all the stylists give so much time to each customer and really be interested in consulting what the client wants before they start. This included the two owners of the salon.It’s also a nice, big, naturally lit space and feels special.Amber did my colour and cut and she’s essentially an artist who clearly takes ride in her craft.So glad I found this place.

Visiting Newcastle for a wedding, I wanted to pamper myself and have my hair washed and blow dried before the special event. Arriving at the salon, I was blown away with how beautiful, open and inviting the space was. Everyone working in the salon was so welcoming, and lovely. I felt so at home being there!Fletcher was such a joy, he did the most relaxing head massage with my wash, and listened to all my hair needs. He was so much fun to chat to, and blow dried my hair to perfection! I decided it was worth asking if they could squeeze me in for an upstyle. Nothing was a problem, Fletcher found another hairstylist to create what I wanted.Being a hairstylist myself, I was so impressed with Hannah and her work. She was so sweet, communicative, and created exactly what I wanted. I loved my upstyle so much. It held all night, through wind, rain, and lots of dancing!And to top it all off, amazing value for money. I walked out on a high, feeling so well looked after. I have not had a better experience in a hair salon. Would 100% recommend The New Black!

I would trust every single one of them with my hair. High end service but they know how to have fun!

Favourite business ever. Beyond the quality of the cuts and colouring, they go above and beyond to treat you like royalty. Always leave with a big smile.

Jordi did a very nice job, she's friendly and professional - keep up with what you are doing.There was another hairdresser I watched while sitting there... she dropped the brush on the floor, picked it up and kept using it doing her clients hair... wouldn't be very impressed with that kind of job.

Every part of this salon is luxury! So happy with my cut and the service is amazing
