Hidden gem. Amazing food and wine. The team is great and extremely attentive without being overbearing. Ask the staff for a wine recommendation, they always have fun funky wines not on the menu.

I booked the private dining room at The Wine Room for a birthday function. The venue was great to deal with, flexible with a last minute change of plans and so friendly and accommodating on the night. The room was perfect for us, all of the food was delicious and the staff looking after us were lovely. Highly recommended for a small function and the restaurant itself has a cosy and sophisticated ambience.

Lovely food and wine, Dominic was lovely during our stay, would recommend to anyone wanting an intimate venue for great share plates and better wine. Outdoor area comes with blankets and heaters - we found it comfortable despite the Canberra winter. Good with allergies too - no issues!

What makes Wine Room great is the simplicity of having a tucked away venue with a great selection of drinks and food choices that will satiate even Nick Kyrgios' thirst to beat Rafael Nadal at the next Australian Open. Beef tartare? Yes please! The wine choices are indubitably the best and the intimacy keeps you closer than that scene in Lady and the Tramp, but the food lacks a certain bit of taste you are truly hoping for. Drizzled in oil and fats, you really do feel it's saturation over the carbs and protein, and you realise maybe it does need a tone down. Or maybe the pretentious food critic in me likes a bit of umami to go along with a great wine pairing. For now, I would highly consider going back as an underrated choice hidden within the heart of the city.

Great little hideaway in Braddon. Food is interesting, thoughtful and perfectly cooked. However, for a venue named The Wine Room there is only a small wine list, with some interesting wines, but nothing to excite the connoisseur. Hence the four-star rating.

Very enjoyable food and decent selection of wines by the glass. The mushroom stuffed zucchini flowers, mahi mahi with macadamia romesco and the charred cabbage were the three stand out dishes.We did have a small blip in the service late in the evening that was quickly acknowledged and corrected by the staff and we were well looked after. Thanks again. We will be back.

Tucked away behind Gather Cafe is this gorgeous restaurant! Food, atmosphere and service was excellent. The fitting of the restaurant has a lot of style and character, a warm and inviting feeling.Fav dishes, king prawns, Duck & tuna skewers! We’ll be back

I recently visited Wine Room and I have to say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with beautiful decor. But the real star of the show is the wine selection - it's truly outstanding. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about wine, and they're always happy to make recommendations or answer any questions you may have. Food was also delicious! Overall, I can't recommend Wine Room enough. If you're looking for a great wine experience in a beautiful setting, this is the place to go. 5 stars all around!

Cute space tucked off of Mort Street serving delicious wines and tasty treats.Went with a friend for a catch up dinner and drink and everything was super flavorful. Burrata with pumpkin was great and smoked peaches were an interesting one, expand your peach horizon if you choose.Great spot all around and super friendly staff.

Have been to the Wine Room on 4 occasions, and each time I discover something amazing. The latest was their smoked peach dessert, OMG, divine. I always take my visiting friends to the Wine Room for dinner, and they're always wowed.
