Mercure Port of Echuca

This was way more complex to in check in then every other hotel I been to. The front desk lady, Helen made us sign our car number our phone number our mail. Plus this isn’t even a hotel it’s a motel from the 18th century. If you’re about to book here don’t do it its a fat lie even the pictures looked way better, I found a toxic spider in my room too. I bet they never clean it.

Stayed 2 nights for a wedding. 1st night was absolutely terrible night sleep. For the price of the room, the mattress was absolutely horrible. Mentioned it to reception the next morning and the staff went out of their way to try to fix it, but unfortunately the mattress was way too old for any quick fix. The Mecure has a good name, so I was kinda p!ssed sleeping on an old mattress with springs squeeking and poking. May I suggest new mattresses or at the very least foam/padded mattress covers.

Noisy and a bit tired. Avoid rooms near McDonald's drive through. Local hoons will keep you awake very late...

Lovely room.Meticulously clean.Very well appointed.Flat screen smart TV. Good size fridge, coffee pod machine, microwave, sink with all the cleaning bits n pieces. Iron and board, extra pillows and blankets. Big reverse cycle air-conditioning.HUGE BATH!!!Double vanity.Lots of storage.The staff are totally delightful and welcoming.Free, excellent wi-fi.I actually wish we could stay longer.Thank you for your hospitality.

Overpriced for what it makes out to be, run down rooms very average have stayed in better cabins in caravan parks

We selected this motel because we could get a single night's accommodation on a festival weekend after a late change to our plans. The service was really good - friendly, attentive, organised and without any hitches. The place was very clean and the bathroom had been renovated. The hotel could definitely do with a general facelift but it really is not a big issue when it is clean and comfortable.We had an issue with one of the beds (wheel broken) and the staff treated us well when we reported it.Our group has been going to the Riverboats Festival in Echuca for many years, staying in accommodation closer to the festival venue. We feel like after many years of declining service at our 'normal' motel, we have found a much better alternative that values its customers and treats them with dignity and respect. Once upon a time, this place would have been beautiful....nowadays it is way behind the 8 ball in comparison to other motels with the same star rating.The beds are hard (and I love a harder bed), the aircon doesn't work properly and I couldn't open a window due to a big bin directly outside, the decor is aged, and the bathroom is somewhat in need of a good old fashion Reno.It was quite, however the neighbour chain smoking out the front came straight through under the door, even in the middle of the night.The good parts...the staff are friendly and the location is great, right in the centre with good pubs and restaurants just a walking distance, and a Maccas directly next door if restaurants arent your thing.I travel alot for work, and stay at a number of direct places and personally, will not stay here again when I am back in Echuca.

Really good location. Room was a good size. Very quiet considering it’s located on High Street. Everything pretty much as you would expect from Mercure.We loved the pool/entertainment area. A good place to meet for larger family gatherings Etc.

Fabulous room.. right in heart of town.. walk anywhere at any time.. we will be back
