Campaspe River
One of my favourite places on earth. Every path is entwined with childhood memories, regardless of if you have been a million times or if it is your first visit. A place of magic and discovery. Full of options for any age and stage of life with a long walk, swimming spots, fishing, a playground, picnic area, interesting tree species, plaques describing parts of history and of course beautiful walks covered in plants. The air is fresher here. The sun is warmer. Life is better.

Gorgeous walk beside the river, but it needs upgrading. A lot of people use the track to jog and I have witnessed several of them trip and fall due to the uneven ground and tree roots/rocks in track? A bit of maintenance wouldn't go astray

There are many great places along the river to access for fishing, kayaking, swimming or just relaxing. I would check the flow of the river before making a trip as it varies greatly from a trickle to a torrent.

It’s amazing how long this river is and how many places, suburbs it goes through. Some parts are very beautiful when there is plenty of water and some parts no so beautiful. However it is an important river for the region carrying water for farming etc.

Beautiful spot but need to fairly fit as the climb down is steep although it is fenced. Coming back up was a bit of a challenge but worth every step.

A scenic waterfall and surrounding area. It takes only 5 minutes walking to arrive the falls through concrete stair. However sometimes it might be closed for maintenance although you could go close to it.

One of my favourite places to take my kids and the dog or just somewhere to go by yourself for some downtime.
