Fantastic experience. The food was marvellous with a great spread of Mains, Sides and Desserts. I had the beef brisket and pork ribs which were superb! The order process was organised and well managed. The staff were friendly and attentive. Clearly this is a business run by people who love what they do and the food they prepare. Definitely recommend for lovers of American style BBQ.

Houston we have a problem... The problem is this place is too tasty and too close for my health. Really going to have to moderate how often I go here. The meats are perfectly cooked and flavour amazing. The wings blew me away, something I haven't tried before but we're amazing. To top it all off the price is amazing, I cannot recommend it enough.

Houston's is an unpretentious Texas-style BBQ hidden in an industrial park in East Keilor.As it was our first time, we did not know what to order. The staff there were super friendly and helped us with the order process. My partner and I ordered the last remaining serves of beef brisket and pulled pork. Both had amazing flavour but for me, pork was the winner as it was super moist with the fatty bits melting in my mouth. Use the free bread provided to your advantage to soak up any excess meat juices.Total cost of our meal was $36.50 for 400g of meat with coleslaw. For the level of flavour and how tight our shorts felt at the end of the meal, the price felt like a steal.If you decide to eat at the restaurant, there's a few picnic tables outside. Bring a hat and some sunscreen especially on a hot day as there isn't any shade.Would definitely recommend arriving once they open to avoid disappointment - at 1pm we were the lucky last customers allowed into the store as they had sold out. This is the best Texas BBQ I've tried in Melbourne so far. We'll definitely be back to try the pork ribs!

Seriously the best place to get your barbeque meats in Melbourne! The brisket and pulled pork are to die for! Advice would be to order pickup online as there are only 3 benches outside. No indoor seating.

The Brisket was nice but the price for 100g of meat was way to expensive. 200g of brisket and 1 Sausage $26. The access in Slater Pde, Keilor east is far from convenient and atmosphere was dull and not inviting.

Serving up perfectly slow cooked Central Texan style BBQ, Houston’s Barbecue in Melbourne’s West recently popped up on our radar, but quickly became one of our favourites BBQ joints of all time.Their impeccable brisket, bold-flavoured pulled pork, and delicious sides most definitely delivered a tasty, hearty feed that’s bound to satisfy any hunger pangs. For those who love a good authentic American BBQ, Houston’s is a must try.

Heaps of ppl have recommended this place… unfortunately it was the standard for American bbq in Aus. Neither good, nor bad. Ppl in the reviews make comparison to BBQ in the US, and they’re absolutely incorrect. This place is a decent attempt though.Still looking for that decent American BBQ…The search continues.UpdateResponse to owner’s reply. Yeah, that’s a fair assessment. Usually I love Houston's, but my order yesterday I was really disappointed with the fried chicken. Got home with my takeaway, opened it up and noticed immediately the fried chicken was really burnt. The menu brags about the fried chicken and I know the fried chicken burger is great, so it was really sad to end our work week with these inedible pieces of chicken. The coating was so burnt we couldn't actually eat it enjoyably. It was a big let down as we were excited to eat it. Disappointing to see all the new staff might not have the same love for the food as Kit did.The other stuff we got was still great. Our favourites are the smoked and fried wings, sausage and pork ribs.
