My husband bought their chocolate truffle cake yesterday from the Subiaco store and we cut it the same day. Small round cake which cost over $50. Cake is advertised as chocolate sponge and light chocolate mousse. However it is so dry and dense, pieces don’t even stay together on the plate in one piece.I called the store this morning and was directed to their West Leederville shop as this was apparently where the owners are. The lady on the phone promised someone will give me a call as soon as possible. She asked if I was after a refund and I said that I would prefer to get a cake that is spongy and light (as described) and would like to discuss the options as I was expecting some morning tea guests and what we paid for is inedible.Heard back from no one.

Busy place, but service is very efficient. Staff are very pleasant. The spinach and ricotta roll was great, especially the soft but flaky pastry ($5). The long chicken and avo roll was surprisingly delicious too. The bread was of excellent quality. Both of these were a great, light snack.

Amazing pastries and sandwiches... love those almond crossaints, custard donuts, etc., etc......totally awesome. Great coffee as well. My fav place now...!!

We had the famous baguette sandwiches and found them absolutely fabulous! Crunchy bread and generous filling will surely impress anyone. Loved the tea, too! It was leaf tea with free boiling water refill. If I had to choose just two key words that describe this place's feature, I'd say high quality"."

Very good cakes, pastries and fresh french style breads and bread rolls. Great place to stop in for coffee and a snack. Can get very busy at lunch time.
