Black Rock Waterfalls
Paradise found! there are several little waterfalls and swimming holes along the trail and then at the very end where you can go no further there is the big one, you will know it when you see it. warning if you try to climb to the very top of the big water fall to look down - be aware to the left on the shady side there are Stinging Bushes, google them, know what they look like and you will be aware and able to avoid them.

A great walk along the creek up to the magnificent waterfall. At the waterfall there's a great pool for a swim.

Out of this world. Took us a few hours to trek up here, but so worth it. The pond is deep so be careful. We caught a few yabbies. The yummiest yabbies ever. Always go with a local, as the trek can be tricky. Best to do in summer months. Avoid in rainy season.

Absolutely stunning walk, but a bit tricky to find. You have to go up gray's creek terrace and follow the creek. The track is unmarked and there's a lot of climbing and clambering. No facilities. No defined parking lot.

Great big hike. Half trekking, half bouldering. Will take possibly 4 - 5 hours return for first timers, can be done much faster ~1.5h or less one way if you're confidentWater is great to swim, almost anywhere all the way upRough paths along the way, but you generally figure it out yourselfGo first thing in the morning, and stick to the left side of the river on the way up to be away from the sun (right side return)You will most likely do one big river crossing, or two smaller ones at a similar junction just as you begin - up to you. There are ways to do it without getting wet. It depends on the height of the water and at what point you cross.Park at the bottom entry where right is to go up to the roundabout residential spot, and left is the no thru road with tall grasses either side.Keep on moving, the river is great, I preferred the bouldering section so you can pretty much hop the rocks along the river bank for a good chunk of the way

A challenging hike to a friendly wild swimming pool with jacuzzi! You will have to cross the shallow rocky creek a few times. Watch your steps and head. There is a high probability of getting injured if you're going too quickly or do not pay attention. Plus, we spotted a one metre long Brown snake right on the path (video attached). The best season is Nov to Jun because of less mosquitoes, and the creek is not too wild. The waterfall is beautiful any time.

Great hike for experienced hikers, there is no direct path. Just lots and lots of rocks, water. 3 main levels to get to the top. Took just over 2 hrs overall including a dip in the water.

Tricky walk to rate. Very beautiful, particularly the mid section where the river splits around a few dozen trees and gives a reel jungle feel; and of course the main falls. Pretty impressive flora and geographical changes as as you move along.Plenty of wildlife and some unnecessarily big spiders to look at (be sure to look ahead or you'll be face-planting one). Also saw evidence of chunky eels to the deep upper pools. It also isn't Mossman with its light coloured smooth and round formations. The stones and rocks here are grey, more rectangular and slippy with edges. Difficult to navigate in the water. I'd hate to know how many, shins, ankles and knees they've broken. The big 'but' - The mosquitoes for the lower 2/3 of the trek. You can't stand still for longer than 10 seconds. The only way to 'alleviate' is keep moving and be in the river or at the least it's edge. Bathe in deet before you go, ideally the thick cream stuff and ensure it's water resistant.A nice experience and a good trek, a bit of a slog. 2/3h up, 1.5h back down as you'll know the path.

Well worth the scramble up the river beds, you can do it without getting wet. Various pools tossing in before reaching the main waterfall.

Was simply devine. Terrain wasnt simple, not much track and mostly rock & bolder hopping to get there. Keep an eye out for the crayfish in the water. Once u get to the end - tropical rainforest paradise pools. Climb above the highest waterfall you can, each pool is better than the last.
